**** Mell has been busy

back to the actual subject I'm conflicted. On one hand I love classic Star Wars and the prequals not so much so don't want to muddy the waters... but I really loved the Clone Wars series and the KOTOR games but man they're like thousands of years in the past, but I love the Ebon Hawk and think honestly most of the KOTOR designs would blend into the classic era more easily than the prequel ships would which lost that chunky look of classic era.

Now, I just need to find a really good painter. Gotta check my local field.
Edited by brutalferretI am really pretty confident in stating here and now for the record. The odds of seeing a non Rebellion Era craft are ZERO.
E-wing.
I think you mean Rebel or Imperial, not Rebellion Era.
This would be a lot like someone refusing to play the Falcon title card on any other pilot but Han because in that era he was the only true pilot of the MF.
Actually all the named pilots fly the Millennium Falcon at some point in the movies.
And then some.

Chewie... the untrue pilot.
I started rereading the "Jedi Academy" trilogy again, and...
at the beginning Chewie's doing the evasive flying while Han is strapped into a turret chair.

I'd love to see your take on the humble Ebon Hawk!
i have the basic shape down as the image shows, Im a bit detail obsessed so it will take a bit of time. But sure. I can finish it up
Detail obsession is a good thing.
It just makes it take longer to build things from scratch. But detail counts for a lot

Eeeeeeeeeeew prequel ships where's that dislike button when you need it?

You may not like them But I think the ARC-170 and the V-19 look AMAZING regardless of their timeline, which as it happens is during the rebellion era anyway.
What I want to know is where can I get some of them?
Edit: found them, might have to get me some I think....
Edited by Mace WinduThe Sith Fury and Sith Infiltrator are beautiful.
Let the drooling commence.... btw I did not see the V-19 Torrent. Does he make one?

I had the wrong ship in mind. I was thinking of the V wing and he makes that too ![]()
You mean like they did with the transport and the Tantiv? This gives me nightmares of X-Wing turning into Magic. The constant edicts that would come down from on high about what's legal, what isn't etc. would be enough to drive me out. The first time they put out an expansion in which the ship isn't legal, but one or more upgrades are, would be ridiculous. I'm fine with spin-off games that aren't directly compatible, though.
Yeah, I never said I was particularly happy about those. I have yet to buy either, and still don't know if I want them. I'm not comfortable enough with the regular game, without trying to deal with the big ships. I would just as soon learn to maneuver X-Wings from the core set and expansion, and don't feel a pressing need to add the ones from the transport.
**** those ships look great! Some of them look SUPER small though, like grievious ship for example.
The Arc-170 is probably the best looking of the bunch.
I really enjoy FF miniatures' quality. Said that, I would be one of those fanboys who would buy other Eras' spaceships (as well as other universes spaceships, such as real airplanes, Battlestar Galactica, Firefly, etc.). Although I don't think there is a possibility of this happening, I really think people who so fiercely attacks this kind of idea are limiting other people's imagination and desires (some of them, even rudely, I might say).
If by any chance, FF decides it is profitable for them to make (for example) a black Stealth X-Wing with a little change in the mold, and you don't like it, don't buy it.
If they release a N1 Starfighter for non tournament purposes (like special edition), I don't see how would that harm other player's choice of ships or even balance. Just limit your table to the standard tournament rules.
I agree with the 'If you dont want it dont buy it' philosophy. But the problem i think in many peoples minds is that if they release some of the awful ships then that will delay the release of the good ones. ( Imagine the office where someone decided to, given a choice, release the TIE Cruiser before a Stealth X)
They could speed up the release schedule but if they did it would likely cause a decrease of detail in what has so far been a good quality (though i still think the FFG Y Wing mold needs a lot of work) line of minis
Terrible idea.
All in or none. If you're making them then they fit the system and don't unbalance anything and are made to be played. If you choose not to Play or Buy them due to "era concerns" that is your choice. This would be a lot like someone refusing to play the Falcon title card on any other pilot but Han because in that era he was the only true pilot of the MF.
Limiting people's choices on legal material based on personal bias is bad in general by it's REALLY bad business.
LANDO IS ALSO A LEGIT PILOT TO THE MILLENNIUM FALCON, JUST NOT IN THE GALACTIC CIVIL WAR.
he is tho one that Han got the ship off of in a game of sabbac. and Lando flew it in episode six. so the Han only argument is invalid by lore and by logic.
Edited by Thralket FrostbaneI've been thinking... what if FFG released the Ebon Hawk with the exact same stats, mechanics, cards and pilot abilities as an existing XWMG-ship? Everyone'll be able to field the YT-1300 archetype, it's just a matter of cosmetics when it comes to the ship. Would a "special" or "limited" edition still be a problem, then? What is standing against a solution as this one, if FFG saw the potential to make some people happy and find a way to make it worth the time and effort?
