Not true.
Some people want the N1, ARC etc and have put forth good ways to integrate them. They are canon ships. Some of them have a cool aesthetic.
There is some remarkably cool stuff in that list of links, by the way.
I stayed away from the 3rd party stuff, but there's some good work in there.

If FFG can give the Gunboat a unique role in the Imperial faction I'd be fine with them making it.

Empire already has two low cost small based ordnance carriers.
No cannon carriers though.

I'd be VERY surprised if FFG stayed away from the EU at this point (although people have been saying that for the past three or four waves).

I tend to agree on Skipray being scum, but can see it being cross faction.
I would be ok with that. The only Cross faction I dislike is Slave 1. I've mentioned my replacing it with a mel's escort shuttle at least once previously in this thread.

Not possible
TIE Hunters could have 4 agility (they have s-foils so you could throw in the legendary t-65 X-wing fix) that's pretty unique.
The GB is basically another ordnance carrier with a cannon but like I said earlier FFG can still make it cool

Yup, that pretty much sums up what the Wiki says about it as well. There's references to both Imperial (Kir Kanos) and Scum (Talon Karrde) owners and pilots.
It's an interesting ship, and presents the possibility of some unique abilities (Ion Primary?) as well as the potential for anm Imperial ship using the Turret upgrade.
Nebulon B was supposed to be Imperial as well, but where are the cross faction frigates in Armada?
Unfortunately Scum does not need another large ship. Skipray is cool tho. I'm pretty sure it could be emulated by Primary 2 att turret and two cannon slots with a special double cannon upgrade Heavy Ion Cannon. Not sure if it should do 2 damage and 2 ion per hit or just 2 ion plus damage rolled. (2 ion and 1 crit is possible too. 4 dice and it steps on HLC. 3 dice and it might not be worth it. Of course Torp and Missile slot, system, 2 crew, maybe a regular turret slot too.
To FFG, XG-1 Star Wing Assault Gunboat, please? And perhaps its sister vessel the XM-1 Nova Wing Missile Boat (not really called the Nova Wing, its a colloquial fan name).
I don't think Missile Boat could work. It would either be way too OP, or unworthy of the Missile Boat name for not being way too OP.
