Sentinel has a turret, missiles and a lot more dakka. It would be pretty distinct.

I'm pretty sure the King Hell God Emperor Starfighter of Death (and you can't fly it yet!) would be able to manage.

If you photoshopped all the fighters and gunboats out, only leaving the capital ships, that would be a pretty cool playmat.

So when is the next FFG announment, event etc?

The Adepticon hosted Hoth Open is late next week. Idk if any panel is scheduled, but it'd be cool if that's when news was released.

Now this looks good. The Gunboat will obviously be much smaller, but this conversion is great nonetheless. Here's hoping news is on the horizon!

Yeah, it's the people that put the time and effort into making conversions like that who are showing once again the market that's out there for the Lambda's little brother.

There's been plenty of examples in the thread - artwork, renders, third party model kits, conversions, LEGO, the lot. For those of us who grew up with the X-Wing PC games, and who play them to this day, the Gunboat is an iconic part of the Star Wars universe. It's been around for over 20 years now, after all.

Just in case anyone would like something else to discuss.

I wonder how the Gunboat will fix the JM5K in wave 9?

FTS- If it gets people to stop talking about the IDs I firmly hope that we get the XG-1 ASAP.

What roll do you think it will fill in the imperials (who seem to be pretty well rounded)
