Awesome!

Mau Squadron Pilot: no offense to Mau squadron, but Mau is neither is a Greek letter nor a real word as far as I can tell, so for those less well-acquainted with GUNBOAT lore, the name might seem a little odd. I think I'd like to see at least one of the generics named Tau Squadron Pilot, just because in my experience with the PC games, that's what most GUNBOATS are.

Talon Squadron Pilot: perfect.

Arajen Turmen: Cool ability, I like it. I'd give him an EPT though, because otherwise he's more expensive than a Rho Veteran for not a huge amount of added benefit. Also, the wording seems a little bit odd, maybe "At the start of the Combat phase, you may choose another friendly ship at range 1-2. Increase its pilot skill by 2."

Xeal, Maarek: perfect.

Noble Calder: just a thought, what if you removed the word "friendly" from there? I think that might make this ability a lot more powerful and interesting - the ability to give stress, ions, etc. to enemy ships might be a really cool effect. Maybe to make it not completely overpowered, add "You may not remove weapons disabled tokens in this way."

Not sure how i feel about Noble, he has a supporty ability on a ship that is a lousy support.

Yeah he can pass on Stress too but...gunboats? stressed? since when?

Kinda feels like he'd literally only be used for PS10 gunboat goodness and nothing else. Except for the rare stress-pass about the only use i can think of for him is if somehow he has no shot but a buddy at R1 does so he passes his TL off, which i find unlikely given the R1 restriction

What about passing weapon disabled tokens?

Didnt even think of that one.....

I'm not sure it would be that useful to give a Weapons Disabled to a friendly ship. It's a pretty high opportunity cost, I think. I dunno, maybe I'm wrong, but GUNBOATS are pretty cheap yet fast ships, it doesn't sound like fun trying to follow Noble around with a TIE Fighter or something just to soak up the Weapons Disabled.

Another Gunboat follows him that utilizes a way to bypass the token (2pt cannon, OS1 title). Give him Noble's disabled token as multiple disabled tokes doesnt do anything.

I did. :D

He is a very versatile pilot.

Do you have a friend needing a help? Pass the focus or the Target Lock. Do you have a weak friend that wont help in nothing? Pass the Weapons Disabled or Stress token. ;)

actually just thought of another thing he can do.

Red Target Locks are still tokens. Manaroo taught us that one.

"Oh crap that APT about to hit me is gonna hu- wait.." passes tlock to someone out of R1 or arc of the APT user "pfft wow what was i worried about"

Tau, I wanted to type Tau!!

I can revise the Arajen's ability, but have in mind that he CAN increase his own PS.

Noble passing weapons disabled tokens to enemies would be OP, indeed. I think his ability is extremely fun as it is. (but I could bump the range to 1-2)

EDIT: here you go. Thanks.

Hahaha! Boy, I wanted to see this in the table.

Could he pass a condition token like that?

I have no idea.

You assign the condition card to the pilot not the token, it's just used as a reminder.

So you probably could but it wouldn't do anything.

So similarly I could pass a critical hit token just to confuse my enemy. Genius.

Indeed, use the Rebellions own tactics against them.

hope everyone is having fun with their gunboats...mine is sitting on top of my desktop monitor and i admire it every day and in my mind i create really cool battles with it and relive fun memories of days a long time ago in a galaxy far away...

I can neither confirm nor deny any sound effects resembling the aforementioned "pew pew" or explosions... :P

Anyone else just a touch concerned that ages ago, Alex promised we'd get the Gunboat before the end of X-Wing's life cycle?

My wife is sick so I spent NYE jazzing up my GUNBOATS a bit. I gave them some weathering (because Imperials get dirty too!), repainted some of the panels, painted the warheads in the launchers, and added engine wash to the rear. Pretty pleased with the results!

Here's a rear view.

The GUNBOAT is a real treat to repaint because unlike all the various TIE models, there are a lot of panels and empty, flat spaces to paint over. All you need is a relatively steady brush!

Nice! These are actually one of the most fun ships to paint in the whole game, just because they combine all the fun/challenging parts of Imperial ships (like solar panels and smooth lines) with the fun/challenging parts of Rebel ships (the cockpit, greebles, and paneling)!

Edit: I see you made the same comment in your post above!

Outrageous!!!

@Mikael Hasselstein Someone has breached Imperial regulations somewhere - The Emperor's ships must be kept in pristine condition at all times for the always imperative Inspections!

...gee wish I could paint like that! :D:D:D
