actually i was messing with the kimogila since i need to justify buying everything by using it atleast once lol

managed to send a z95 with deadmanswitch and two harpoons from my kimo into my enemy's face. Didnt blow up...ever actually i won the game with it still at 1hp...but I SET IT UP!!! lol

Back on gunboats i've been desperately trying to find a use for OS-1 title and hitting a brick wall head first so far....

Nah, Lucas canon had all that stupid Galaxies garbage. And I kinda like the Silencer.

Has anyone played around with Deadeye, Missile, LRS Rho Gunboats?

I have my eye on them, but I don't want to head down this path if it's not as effective or efficient as the 22 point Nu Gunboats.

I have try a heavy control gunboat a for my first game with gunboat :

Deadeye, Ion Missiles, Guidance, Xg1, Linked Battery, Flechette Canon on Karsabi flight with Kylo Ren Silencer.

A good result against a ace list but I have no used Karsabi's effect during the whole game....

Generics look far better for what I see.

For what I've seen so far 1 rho with crackshot and HLC with linked batteries and LRS is the perfect wingmate of two aces.

Opponent focuses on the Aces and the gloryboat joins in with HLC to finish the job.. or either he focuses on the GUN and the Aces can do their job.

A list I'm tinkering with is:

Countess Ryad, TIE/D, Engine Upgrade, VI, Ion Cannon (42)

Nu Squadron, Ad Slam, XG-1, Plasma Torp, Ion Cannon, Flechette Cannon (29)

Nu Squadron, Ad Slam, XG-1, Ion Pulse Missile, Ion Cannon, Flechette Cannon (29)

A slam will help with maneuvering and TLs, Ryad gets green K-turns. (Unless I am reading her ability wromg)

Thd idea is that Ryad keeps the preasure up with ion and blasters firing at the same time while the gun boats control movement and stress.

I guess one thing I'm surprised about is that I haven't seen any painted white. I might have to paint some like that as a tribute to the original games...

Yes, altough I want to re-do it to fit the FFG Assault Gunboat more.

To date, I've only ever bought one ship from your store, a YV-929 for an Edge of the Empire and X-Wing campaign I was running. But those TIE Avengers look amazing - I think you should start pushing those! The people in this thread definitely are the most likely to want those as a replacement for their Silencers. I'm also seriously considering buying a bunch of your Missileboats for when I run GUNBOATS with the OS-1 title!

I got a Gunboat! Finally! The one i pre-ordered still hasn't arrived (), But a good friend managed to get one from an lgs before they sold out (the same day)!

It's pretty fun! So far I've been trying out the named pilots, as I'm waiting I can get another one before i try some generics; Vynder is ok with RAC, and I haven't used Lt. Wasabi enough to say more than that he doesn't come out on top when Fighting Vaksi Talonbane 1v1.

Any suggestions on what to do with a single generic? These ships are so fun to fly, I need a good cheap build that can easily fit into lists, though.

(Also, I had the good fortune to get a very weakly glued Boat, so it has no annoying peg on the bottom, and an easily detachable escape pod, with three wings...)

You can easily fit one in with Quickdraw and Vader... harpoons or hlc.

That could work. But... How do you fly Qdraw? I have failed miserably all the times I've Tried. I've almost Given up on OL and QD, I cannot get them to work!
