I think LRS/OS1/Harpoon Nu may have legs as a cheap area denial for 24 points (Essentially for 2 pts one buys the ability to threaten SLAM+Harpoon and may force suboptimal navigation decisions in some lists).

Looks good! It needs something on the smaller fins though...

I have yet to lose with GUNBOATS. Granted, most of my games are pretty casual, but I have to say, this is one of the finest X-Wing lists I've ever flown. I absolutely love how you can still do stuff when you SLAM. And it just, I don't know, feels right. Something about how the 80-degree arc zips around the board lining up shots is fantastically fun, and is borderline-overpowered while still feeling balanced. Just when I thought I couldn't love the GUNBOAT any more...

The 2 gunboats I ordered should arrive today. Already wishing I had ordered three...

I only play casually with friends/family, so I'm thinking about running 2 Nu's with XG-1, LRS, Linked, and HLC, and Whisper with VI, FCS, Gunner, and ACD. That's a heavy hitting list bwahahahah!

The other option I'm thinking about is 2 Rho's with crackshot loaded like the above^ Nu's, and Vessery with Juke, MKII, x7. But that looks less mean.

What, no thread posts in the last 48 hours? Y'all must be too busy flying your new gunboats to bother chatting about them. I've been too busy with work and stuff to fly my new glorious gunboats to victory against the Rebellion :-(

Because all of us feel a disturbance in the Force if this thread isn't on page one. The time is now to start demanding GUNBOAT Aces, GUNBOAT Veterans, and Heroes of the GUNBOAT! And the GUNBOAT/FO, which is twice as big and painted black. And the GUNBOAT Epic expansion, that comes with twelve GUNBOATS that can take hardpoints.

I've personally been too busy painting my GUNBOATS and watching Episode VIII to actually fly my GUNBOATS more than a couple times.

I mean, we've already got the Gunboat, but it still seems wrong if this thread isn't on page 1 Our new warcry is "Gunboat Aces! Gunboat Veterens!". We need a fix that breaks the meta and makes them stupid good Rebel-killing missile carriers.

Also, it was never named X-Wing miniatures because of the X-Wing, it was named after the video game with the same name. So I move that they errata out all ships except the ones from those classic PC games.

(Just kidding, but that would be fun for a casual game night!)
