Y-wing dial with white 4 straight.

Title that gives system slot for 1 point

System that is gunboat only that allows a primary attack following a secondary weapon attack (successful or not).

PS2 at 22 (parity with Blue Bs)

Sorry I just don't see this thing with Agi of 2 or ion primary or other weird things.

Well the Gunboat had similar maneuverability stats to the bwing, which features a shiny 1 agility die.

Point is -- and here comes the clusterf**k -- the Tie Bomber has a maneuverability of an Y-Wing (same dpf rating) and can dodge with one more die.

obviously FFG didn't take stats into consideration when developing the ships' values but well.

Let's debate your post though.

Attack 2. Fair enough.

Agility 1 - nope sorry. I'd go with 2.

Hull 4 & Shields 4/3 the gunboat has always been a sturdy ship, and while not being the best choice for a dogfighter it could deal with a couple of blows.

Cannon and system upgrade slot, but no title even if some 'XG1 Starwing' could be neat.

Two missile slots and one torpedo slot.

It sported lots of warheads.

Dial.. More likely the Kihraxz one.

I guess the Raider can't carry ships... It's not that large.

I guess the Raider can't carry ships... It's not that large.

I would guess it can carry one small shuttle or starfighter internally like a CR-90.

I think the proton bombs are what the TIE Bombers are bombing the asteroid field with, when they try to make Han Solo and company leave their hiding, in Empire Strikes Back. Also, what the "Deathrain" picture shows, in the TIE Punisher pilot card.

The Heavy Space Bombs from TIE Fighter weren't at all like those.

I think that's only because all the missions in TIE Fighter take place in deep space where there's no gravity. So there's no way to "drop" them. You just kind of let go of them and they drift into the enemy.

Pfft. Star Destroyers only carried 5. So that's the most you need.

I was thinking about this the other day but they would still have momentum that they could use to "aim" the bombs. Also, I wouldn't be surprised if the bombs used electromagnets/repulsors/hypergolics/<insert propulsion here> to direct them to their targets.

I would rather see a seven point Imperial Probe droid that a blast boat.

Great stuff guys - looks like there's really not that much in it at all now when discussing our ideas. The main points of contention appear to be agility 1 or 2, the cannon slot and the systems slot. But we all seem to be pretty much thinking along the same lines.

Agility 2 for sure as it was always faster and more maneuvrable than the TIE Bomber.

Cannon slot I'd say "no" but the title card with the ions is a good idea. This way no HLC gunboat but the (old) canon Starwing config possible.

System slot I'd say "yes" due to the recon nature of a lot of missions this thing flew.

If I remember correctly the Gunboat could carry the Tractor Beam tho:

Which is a plus point for the cannon upgrade slot.
