Karsabi with HLC is the one I'm most interested in if I'm just taking a single Gunboat. I can really see that being solid in a 3-ship list.

the problem is he falls into Vader /QuickDraw range of points without the pilot skill, so you'll inevitably give up one of those.
I'm think pairing with"standard" Vader (no missiles) and double Fos or strikers as blockers.
"fair ship imperials". calling it now.
You know what's underused? Decoy. Man, the people I used to scare the **** out of with an Echo that was PS12 in combat... Maybe I should have another look at that.

I was thinking of using Seismic Torpedoes on at least a couple. You can reload those, right? Clear the asteroids so you can SLAM safely the rest of the game. Only thing is, you won't be able to attack when you SLAM without the title, so I may need to rearrange some things.

You could Reload EM if it was somehow discarded. Any and all torps and Missile upgrades are reloaded, so yeah Seismics are good to go

It causes you to throw away a focus, Evade or TL, and the jammer stays until it eats one of those tokens

I got a friend to paint a dragon on my Decimator. I have yet to see it, she's putting sonics time into it.

The ship is so versatile and has so many possibilities that if someone made a poll: "What X-Wing ship would you bring to a desert island?", I'm sure Gunboat would win (even for those not enlightened).

Stuff like the reload action makes me yearn for updated and re-released Y-Wings, TIE Bombers, TIE Punishers, K-Wings, and Scurrg H-6s.
These new mechanics are fantastic in my opinion, but boy, they're so isolated from the rest of the game.
Have we talked about the obligatory FFG article error yet? They have Vynder slamming and then using UR against a ship she doesn't have locked. (They also use both 'her' and 'his' when talking about Vynder.)

What about throwing on concussion missiles or maybe xg1 and Mangler/hlc? Shooting 4 dice with TL/focus and mods on att and def seem like an awesome thing to do.

Yeah, I saw that discussed. You know what's sad? If every upgrade in the next wave was "Imperial Only", we'd still be in third place for faction only upgrades. Also, whomever decided that "Rebel and Scum only" should be allowed on a card should be punched in the face.

Yup, but they've fixed those errors, they still show Vynder making an attack without a lock.

I'd still like a support craft like the Combat Utility Vehicle. It would have pretty low stats, but would get abilities like, "All friendly craft gain the Reload ability while they are within range 1 of this ship." or "During setup, place up to three <missile>, <torpedo>, and <bomb> secondary weapons beneath this card. Action: One friendly ship at range 1 may equip one of the upgrades beneath this card that it could legally equip. It may remove one of its upgrades from the game to make room."
(Yeah, I know that wording is atrocious. I'll have to think on how it could be better worded.)

They also made an error on the Jam Token card, "Then that ship chooses and removes of its 1 focus, evade, or blue target lock tokens"?
I just realized that Alpha class Starwing puts GUNBOAT at the top of the list of Imp ships in the List Builders. Awesome. Now you don’t need to scroll thru all the ships, just stop at Alpha.
