All the better!

Carrying around that Star Destroyer.

If size was really no object though, then my Epic of choice would be the Quasar Fire Light Carrier. As it's basically just a giant hangar for TIEs.

I've been wanting an Arquitens-class command cruiser and EF76 Nebulon-B frigate for a while as epic ships in X-Wing. The Arquitens: 325m, the Nebulon-B: 300m, not sure what I would choose for scum though.

Come to Armada. Our Arquitens class command cruisers cost less than 60 points...

I want to, but only because of Thrawn. Although, I find it fun having large models on the board and moving around them. I mean for heaven-sake, Games Workshop has huge Wahammer 40k Titans sold through their Forge Wold specialty store. Why not show that huge models can be used in very Epic games in X-Wing. I honestly would suggest that 350m being the maximum length, thus allowing the introduction of the Quasar-fire: 340m, Arquitens: 325m, and Nebulon-B: 300m

I've been toying with the idea of getting a 3rd party Nebulon-B and using a 6x6 game area and possibly allowing 2 corvettes for the Rebels and Imperials... still figuring out a solution for Scum since, well, they don't have a corvette sized ship yet >_>

That third party nebulon will not be easy to aquire.

It's kind of a unicorn these days.

True, but there's a similar model on ebay... or ****, I'll just 3D print one :D

Hmmm....800 bucks seems fair.

Actually I thought they got shut down for making those. I must be thinking of something else.

Also...you might want to edit out those links.our overlords don't approve of that.....unless...I'm also thinking of something else regarding that too...which is very possible.

Are there Gunboats in Armada already?

Actually, it was a third party company by the name of 'Space Rocks' who didn't have the rights to make a Nebulon-B, made it as an expansion for X-Wing, and got shut down. The model didn't look right and had some disproportionate features.

I'm not sure if shapeways fully counts as it is just 3D printing a privately created model that just so happens to look like a Nebulon-B and can be fitted to a display stand that looks similar to that of X-Wing stands. The cost is for printing the model, not the model itself. Kinda like a fan made mod that can be printed out.

Epic: Class Four Container Transport to be the Empire's GR-75.

It wasn't really used by the empire in military operations. The next Imperial epic should be the Imperial Customs Corvette, if the Arquitens is too big

So long as our next Imperial offering for X-Wing is not from Star Wars Galaxies, I'll be happy.

The last craft (ugh, they already tapped this out?) they haven't done yet is the atrocious TIE Oppressor, perhaps the ugliest TIE Design ever made, including all those experimental TIEs from XW Alliance. If Empire really wants a bomb dropper TIE, the Scimitar Assault Bomber is practically made for this purpose, and much better looking.

Pulling this back to campaigning for the next community championed fighter though, my vote's the TIE Avenger. We're not going to get it because of the Silencer, but the Silencer and Avenger are not the same craft. For one thing, the Silencer isn't armed with missiles...

Skipray and Scimitar and I'm happy.

No, but it's only a matter of time.

The GR-75 isn't really meant to be used for military operations either. But it's still one of the Rebel epics. They're both cargo carriers, and at least the Class Four has guns.

Eat a poo!

And anyway, there's also the YE-4 Gunship.

Though according to it's technical specs it SHOULD be.

Being a prominent canon ship helps.

Hey man, the Class Four has had more overall screentime than the GR-75, having had prominent roles in TWO episodes of Rebels now.

Oh. TV Canon. Yeah I guess that counts. For now. Until Rebels goes the way of Ewoks and Droids.

I really want the Arquitens, it really wouldn't be too much bigger then the shapeways Nebulon-B, perhaps a bit wider.

Also an official Nebulon B

... maybe a BFF-1 bulk freighter?

Actually, I would really like a BFF-1 for scenario play.

Droids? You mean that show that still gets constant references to it in modern Star Wars content? And heck, even Ewoks gets a few small references here and there. Sure, I'm pretty sure neither show is remotely canon at this point, but they're still fun parts of Star Wars' history if you don't take them too seriously.

(PS, I honestly, unabashedly love the Droids cartoon. I've drawn sooo much inspiration from it while running my Force and Destiny campaign.)
