By FTS Gecko, in X-Wing

I played that mission recently, and experienced the exact same thing. TIEs? Turret on autofire deals with them. Bombers? Mow 'em down. Star Destroyer? Ignore, just don't get too close.

Gunboats?

MK09: We really need to get OUT OF HERE

...restart mission.

Anyway, it occurs to me we haven't had a pretty image in a while:

All this thread is doing now is both convincing me to visit Mel's page soon, and start my 128th Recon project/refine said project.

I might put the rest in a different wing, and make the 128th all about Havok squadron (gunboat squadron crewed by storm commandos).

I'll eventually do up a custom stormtrooper armour complete with camo cloak and TP helmet. (it'll be swamp camo'ed)

Well, if you wanted pretty pictures:

I love you, mel.

Iloveyou.

What do people use as a dial for gun's?

I'm thinking almost identical to a Y-Wing, except with green 1 banks. MAYBE white 1's and no 3-turn at all.

My body is ready, FFG...

This ship looks too rebel.

No. The gunboats look too rebel.

Where do you GET these amazing pictures? So freaking cool

Yeeaah he was joking at you. It looks Rebel because the gunboat in that last picture is too warmly lighted (and is firing CM's which are orange). Little bit of work, a lot more Grey The Gunboat can shine as an Imperial craft.

No. The gunboats look too rebel.

...what, you mean like X-Wings?

Warning. IT'S A TRAP.

Exactly!

Or Y-wings... - They started as Republic ships, some would have undoubtedly served in Imperial Grey.

This looks more Imperial.

Gorgeous ship! I want it!

I made those, for my custom cards in the works.

Not really. It still looks like a modified X-Wing regardless of the paint scheme. So it still looks Rebel.

Tie fighters always remind me of bats. Not only by the way that they look but because they are menacing, quick, and small. This missile boat doesn't even have solar panels. I can see how it slightly resembles the Lambda shuttle, which was also used by rebels.

Mu and Rho for gunboat, Nu and Tau for missileboat?

(if only for Nu Squadron Pilot being PS1)

I think you mixed up Nu and Mu. I remember Nu being gunboats and Mu 1 being the players craft.

http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Mu_group

(Actually, I could see Gunboat/Missileboat pilots being "* Group Pilot" instead of "* Squadron Pilot" as a general thing)

Battle six, the player's craft is a missile boat labeled mu 1.

However! When the player flys a gunboat, they get labled tau, but other gunboats might get labled mu.

But as you see in this mission, Nu is also the name of gunboats.

So basically they each used the same call signs, but since the player was the only one to get a missile boat, missile boats were always mu.
