Well so was the T-16 Skyhopper but there was still a full sized flying vehicle in Luke's garage.
XG-1 "Star Wing" Assault Gunboat Thread
In the first scene of Rogue One, the Death Trooper is clearly seen stuffing a toy model of the XG-1 Starwing into a bag along with other Jyn Erso play things.
The ARC-170 surely - that's what's mentioned in Rogue One Visual Guide, which labels all the toys seen in that opening scene.
Go ask Lybia what happens when you decide everything needs to flow throw the emporer, sorry dictater
Fanboy level writing from some halfwit who grew up with the prequels, fear not good emperor trump will take of their kind and give us cookies.I'm still trying to work out how Maul survived being cut in half and falling down a bottomless pit.
Can't be worse then Abram's and friends dumbass idea to condense the post-Endor GCW timeframe from 14 years to less than 2.
Sarcasm detector broken?
Is he sarcasticly mad that JJ shortened the timeline? Because I think he thinks he has a good argument.

He doesn't jj is a hack that changes things for the sake of it.
Can you imagine what would have happened if JJ had directed ANH? The Tatooine sunset scene would have blinded the theater with massive amounts of lens flare.

So, I'm thinking of a Warlord of the Expanse concept set in the Tapani Sector. Thinking of tying in the new canon... Or not. Either way sounds better than smacking my head into a wall.
Edited by incinerator950There's no place like Gunboat for the holidays, no matter what hyperspace lanes I roam.
Dashing though the stars,
in a one man armored cockpit,
O'er the space lanes we go,
Blasting all the way.
Ions on a centre fin,
Blasting smugglers alight.
Oh what fun it is to jump
From hyperspace into a fight.
Vapor trails, vapor trails, vapor all the way; launch a missile and watch it scream and blow that X-Wing away!
Edited by EskandareI thought those were missile tracers and smoke plumes.
I want this more than any single model possible in the game. Period
Now FFG! NOW
My cyber monday Shapeways gunboats came in, but I'm not a painter.
Here is more complete version..

So what's this CCL thing? I heard mention of a vote. Is this a fan creation deal to get new models into X-Wing and if so why isn't the Gunboat block not actively pushing the XG1 while sabotaging all other forms of creativity?

Gunboat won last season. This time, imperial effort seems to be focusing on Missile boats.
It's only a vassal module, for a single tournament.

Vapor trails, vapor trails, vapor all the way! Blow those TIE Defenders away and make The Empire proud, hey!

But no pressure
Merry Christmas all!
I haven't wanted to get into competitive play because I have no Gunboats to represent my love for the game and it's origins. My TIE/d list is nasty and my epic list which just adds a TIE/ph and a Raider is nasty too. I would certainly like to run a Gunboat instead of the Phantom, just to give it that TIE Fighter PC game feel.
Edited by EskandareI'd consider getting more models if they reline more EU craft, but as it is I'm back burning my collection as I sold all but my TIE Bombers.

I lack the motivation to even assemble my 40k models. With Star Wars in both the EU and the DC canon, I can call the Tapani Sector home and get house colors for my Bombers and come up with a snazzy noble backstory after the fall of the Empire and integrating into/back to House Melantha. Which means dropping my ideas for the Deep Core, but is ******* easier by comparison.
With 40k I still haven't decided on a Warband in over 7 years, and I've basically been scraping by or playing video games for that motivation. Which ironically in no small part to GW with Legion rules back in 40k after 9 years, the choice has has been narrowed down to Death Guard or Iron Warriors. With favorable mention to Alpha Legion and Emperor's Children, but they're well out of budget for me.
Pretty similar to my approach with 40k. I had a habit of picking up new kits, extensively kitbashing or converting them, basing, undercoating...
...then playing maybe one or two games and putting them in a cupboard, never to be seen again. I managed to paint an Eldar army at one point, but in the main it was borderline OCD collecting.
Which is why I've tried hard to break the habit. Going to sell the rest of my GW stuff in the new year. I get much more mileage out of FFG's games

Iron within, Iron without!
This is the Gunboat thread, so maybe that should be ion within, ion without!

Gunboat won last league, this league is all about fixes. There's two Missileboat entries mine which is perfect and only recieves the most minor nitpicking, and a pretender who thinks a Missileboat is simply a faster tie bomber. (I didn't actually read much of his thread because I was jealous people actually cared enough to comment on his constructively)
