Today in gunboat news, someone tried saying the Gunboat and the Tie Avenger both dont belong in the Imperial fleet since the Upsilon shuttle is coming out...

The guy doesnt know what the hell he is talking about. Proving yet again most people that hate our favorite ship have no real reason to keep it out of the game other than anger/jealousy/being petty.

Avenger would be nice, why not have 3 Advanced TIEs? We have 2 bombers and 3 different Fighters!

Not only that, we also have 3 of the same fighter, with slightly different detailing! (LN, FO, and SF)

Yup, with as many as SEVEN TIE Fighter variants doing the rounds now -

TIE/ln - Core Set, Wave 1 Expansion, Imperial Assault Carrier

TIE/fo - Force Awakens Core Set, TIE/fo Expansion

TIE/sf

TIE/Sabine

- there's really very little reason to say "there's no design space for the TIE Avenger" anymore.

I hope we get the U-Wing and TIE Striker added to Wave 10 on Force Friday, then, with the movie releases up to date, FFG are given free rein to go wild in Wave 11 and 12.

I still think the tie striker is fugly but at least it's different.

There's still the Resistance Transport for Wave 11...but that's just the Rebel entry. We're wide open for non-movie Imperial content. Like Gunboats and Avengers.

Yeah it's certainly miles ahead of the k wing.

T-wing could be a cheap torp carrier for the rebels. Also an option between Z-95 and A-wing.

The beauty is that i've been collecting deathwatch as a side project since when they were first introduced.

that and Deathwatch are clearly an "ally" force means i won't need many.

So, looks like we're close to 200 pages. What a feat! Let's keep it up!

I was this close to taking triple defenders to GenCon, and I imagined that if I won they would interview me and I would say, "Well, I figured if I won with these awesome ships from TIE Fighter, maybe the designers would give us more awesome ships from TIE Fighter -- like the Assault Gunboat!"

But I was having delusions of grandeur...I went 2W-4L with my Alpha Fleet Officer. Should have brought the defenders.

I'm seriously considering taking half a day off work , spending £20 on rail fares and traveling for 1 & 1/2 hours each way just so I can get three games of X-Wing in tomorrow night....

Even less original than TIE Raptors. Hell, slapping rocket pods on TIEs was more forthcoming in XWA, or TIE Hunters in RS3. Or TIE GTs and Scimitar Bombers in the old RPG books.

I'm finally getting around to my GSW TIE Bomber Flight. Just waiting for the cards and the last bomber to arrive in the mail. Then I need to find a painter because I can't paint for ****.

No one can paint at first you get good by practicing, vehicles are easy if you want to get good paint infantry with pouches and different textures to the clothes.

Also get good brushes because cheap ones loose their point quickly and make detail painting hell.

One of these days I'll pick up a paintbrush and promote my Cartel Narauders to Black Sun Aces. And repaint the HWK in Black Sun colours as well.

And paint my N'dru and Nashtah Pup (like anyone ever uses the Pup).

And maybe finish the Frigate.

The older I get, the harder it is to get motivated...

You all should be petitioning Disney to put it into something like he rebels TV show. Then it would get added to the game for sure.

So, you guys are my TIE Fighter Players. I'm seriously considering getting it, but I need a Joystick. What Brands would you guys recommend? preferably under 50 bucks. I mean I still need to get Imperial Veterans to!
