Okay, well, maybe everyone else knows this but it just dawned on me: there will most likely be no more EU-only ships in X-Wing.

So, if we want our beloved gunboat, then we need to start praying that the gunboat will show up in Rebels like the ARC-170 did.

Based on what? No disrespect, just curious what prompted that.

I'm absolutely down with the Gunboat showing up in Rebels (Rogue One would be better but is an entirely different stretch).

Were the Mist Hunter and Punishing One in Clone Wars at least?

Because out of the all ships spoiled NONE of them were EU-Only.

I mean, we have had a few pure-EU ships.

You know, I've never been a big fan of most of the EU, but if I had anything to do with Rebels or Rogue One, I'd look there first for inspiration. I find it sad that we're being flooded with newly invented stuff that hasn't faced the test of time when stuff that's built up a fanbase for years or decades could easily have been used in their place. It's one thing for Force Awakens, but Force Awakens barely had anything new, it's not the problem so far.

It's not something I'm heavily invested in personally, but I still hope we can get the Assault Gunboat. I hope we haven't gotten to a point where all future waves will be desperately catching up with new stuff.

There will never be a Gunboat, it would have made it by now. They are using rebels tv stuff. Your Gunboat is dead...long live the King....

I fear we may be at that point, or soon to it. Look at the past 3 waves 7,8, and 9.

Wave 7 was from FFG, with at least 3 Eu models, and Bossk ship, which made appearance in the clone wars, but was carried over to the OT. We also got the new core set, T-70 and TIE F/O expansions.

Wave 8 was heavily themed on Rebels. We also finished out Bounty hunters, as in the line up from Empire strikes back, with dengar and 4-lom.

Wave 9 continues the Rebels frenzy, minus the SF TIE, and 1 arc-170, which i think we'll see in Rebels.

Now what i'm not mentioning here are IV and HOTR, which to me are basically gifts from FFG, as if there saying "we have to do these ships for our wave release, even if that's not exactly what we had in mind. But here is what we wanted to instead, give some new options and fixes for older ships, and give you a proper falcon and X-wing from TFA." So maybe the waves aren't going to be as exciting from here on out, but we still have the between waves releases to look forward to what we want.

So. It's official. We're getting prequel ships before the Gunboat. I'm sorry but that's just wonderful and hilarious.

Oh they were, and I've brought that up multiple times but everybody had a counter-argument then.

Guys, this release was themed. I've literally 0 arguments against any of the ships in it, we all knew the TIE/SF had to happen for imperial. The ARC is the PERFECT ship to oppose it in a release and I love it. The scum ships from Rebels are both obvious choices after a wave with the Ghost and inquisitor.

So there's no gunboat, avenger or R-41 yet. Can still happen.

I am still excited and pumped for wave 9. More so than I was for waves 7 and 8 in fact.

What if the missile boat is before the gunboat?

1. The Gunboat is wicked awesome.

2. We want the wicked awesome Gunboat and we wanted it several Waves ago.

3. Some people don't get it but that's because they don't grasp the sheer awesomeness that is the Gunboat.

Yeah, a precedent has been met. We are getting the N1 within 3-4 waves, easy. Odds are that between Rogue One, Rebels and 8 there won't be enough "cool" rebel ships to fill, so the N1 will make an appear. This said, Proto-B is a possibility. If the Missile boat ever gets released, it should be released opposite that.
