Given that we have pilot cards for Keyan Farlander and Maarek Stele and TIE Defenders.

I do acknowledge that we have no other ships that were introduced in TIE Fighter.

The TIE defender though became it's own thing with its own following though, there is no Lego set for the Avenger, Gunboat, or Missileboat.

That was kinda the point I was getting at. The Defender made appearances afterwards in Star Wars Rebellion and later Galactic Battlegrounds, Empire at war, and even later Star Wars commander.

Likewise Dark Troopers appear in Rebellion, Galactic Battlegrounds and Empire at war also, I cannot confirm if they are in commander or not - but not knowing, I'd put money on them. I'd expect to see them in Imperial Assault at some point.

Best part is via the new comics, the DX-9 is cannon!

I figured the tetrahedrons on the sides of the DX-9 were the actual guns, then the model was changed in the later games to have the guns attahed to the cockpit. I would have prefered some traditional looking gun barrels mounted on the sides of those pyramidal structures, and a AT-AT like front viewport, but I guess the HWK style Windows give it some character. After AoTC I viewed the LAAT as the precursor to the DX-9, just knock off the wings and make it enclosed for space duty, square up the rounded angles and they are very close in design.

The proportions of those Gunboat and Missile Boat are clearly exaggerated, specially the wings. The Gunboat should be 2x wider then the TIE Fighter, not 4x.

I proudly own one(because I realize that FFG won't make one). I've modded the games so I can fly them in the past.

The ship also appears in MOTS dropping off Stormtroopers.

Yeah that looks a lot more reasonably small-base, especially if the wings fold, though I doubt they could engineer that in a mass production mini on a small base scale.

I think it would fall into the *mid* size ships like the K-wing and Punisher which cost a little more but are still small base.

Both should have been large base anyway IMO; they just get in the way too much on small bases.
