I'm ecstatic for the possible upcoming ARC170.
Arc-170 thoughts: Cannon, Crew slot, Astromech, 1 or 2 torps. Cruddy dial. And then an axillary arc.

The "reveal" looks very fake to me.
Time will tell. It looks logical. That said, it might look too logical.
If they were doing the arc you'd expect the entire wave to be prequel ships it makes little sense to release it alone.
Except the ARC was in Rebels, not flown and just in its crashed form.
Also people on these boards keep saying FFG is running out of Rebel fighters, which is sort of true, so maybe they finally bit the bulllet and went with the best looking Clone Era fighter.
And maybe they made the TIE/SF an auxillary arc on a small ship base and wanted a Rebel one to go with it, so went with the ARC for that reason.
This is all assuming this is true. I'm still hoping for the Gunboat to replace the "Protector"
Edited by knaveleadI'm thinking the leaked list is probably accurate. One Rebel, one Imperial, two Scum... that's about what was expected. The TIE/sf was predictable, and more ships from Rebels following Wave 8 is also fairly predictable.
It's not particularly inspiring, though.

Waves have, so far, remained in the "red logo" line of X-Wing, that focuses on the Galactic Civil War era of Star Wars.
The ships from "Rebels" as well as upcoming ships from "Rogue One" fit in this era.
The clone fighter, and the TIE/SF do not. One belongs to the Republic, the other to the First Order. Isn't the ARC-170 a prequel ship, actually?
I expect the TIE/SF to come out in an independent packages inside the "blue logo" line, like all other The Force Awakens era ships have done before.
Also, that supposedly leaked excel file has spelling mistakes, for example, on the Ghost expansion pack. I do not expect that from a distributor's internal document.

2: if we do get a Gunboat this thread will continue as we show off pictures of our beloved Gunboat miniatures. Talk about them obliterating Rebel Scum. Of course any repaints will have to be posted here too.
So either way this is an immortal thread!
Perhaps the release day of the Gunboat should be a international holiday for the fans. We all stay at home, or go to our LGS and fly all Gunboat lists.

The Gunboat and ARC share a lot of things.
They are both hyperspace capable long range recon assault craft that have at some point in the EU been used by the Empire.
They both have a niche fanbase that love them.
They are both as sexy as hell.
We should welcome and appreciate our ARC170 loving brethren just like we appreciate our Missile Boat loving brethren.
