That is pretty close to my favourite Vynder - though I drop the Prockets to make space for RACpalp. I think I need to play some more gunboats soon, maybe buy another...

I went 5-1 and won my first elimination game to make top 16 in Seattle with this. You have some extremely hard matchups, but it can work. I only lost to triple Wookiees all day and almost made top 8.

Got Regionals in Omaha this weekend (Nebraska). Running my Deathboats list of course.

My only fear really is the Ghost, its getting popular and the Deathboats list needs some crit luck to potentially 1shot it. I could 2turn it easy, but how badly i got hurt in the process will be the deciding factor.

I took two doses of Gunboat glory today, sending Rebel AI to the oblivion.

So I wonder if a 5 GUNBOAT vs 5 PS 1 X-wings or vs 5 x K-scum-fighters would be interesting with all the relevant freebies in place

I tested AI vs AI in Fly Casual, and 5x Nu Flechettes lost to 4 Rookie Pilots (with Flight Assist Astromech and Integrated Astromech) + Bandit Squadron.

But I tried myself later 4x Nu Linked Battery Manglers against the same Rebel list and obliterated them.

Well that’s not an even match up. Obviously 4 NUs plus an Academy would be equivilant. Either Harpoon NUs or...Assault linked tracer/beam NUs. Or something.

Any insight as to why it was a loss?

The Nus lacked fire power (too many 2 dice attacks) and the X-Wings were rolling terrific dice during all of the match. The plot armor is real.

Any thoughts on the Krennic boosting say Vynder with his Optimized Prototype? Cause an extra health on a Gunboat that often should be AGI 3 and taking extra shields off either high agility palp backed aces like QD or heavily shielded foes like Miranda/Kannan sounds interesting. The Reaper itself doesn't look like a pushover either if you consider it basically has LWF stapled to it.

Any thoughts? Could this help solve the Reload/Target Lock action economy issues? While also handily bypassing Black One/Countermeasures?

I tried it with aslam instead of os1 to speed up my reloads. Normally got one or 2 torps off a turn but i roll crap and hit with maybe 1 all game.

Krennic is primary only, so he doesn't work well on the Gunboat.

I get that (though given how many have missed it I don't fault you for pointing it out) and am thinking for those times when he may not be using a secondary weapon for some reason. Not saying he is optimum but Krennic might give him a bit more life compared to the generics.

ButI think I found my favorite list: 4 Nu Linked Manglers. Been practicing with them every day in Fly Casual. They kick ***.

4 ship lists seem optimal but I couldn’t help myself, still trying (and failing) to get 5 GUNBOATS to work somehow. 10 pts to customize a list runs out real quick with non-zero titles.
