The water in the very bottom (where we are) is muddy and stinks.

Most well known TIEs left:

• TIE Avenger: iconic and badass, but a half-way TIE Defender and doesn't add much right now.
• TIE Hunter: has cannon and torpedo, but I'm afraid it would push the Gunboat down the backlog indefinitely.
• TIE Oppressor: ugly, nothing new and with a terrible name. No thanks.
• TIE Reaper (yes, that fat TIE Striker from Rogue One): another uninspired shuttle. Please, God, no.

The TIE Avenger is one I would like to see, just to complete the Advanced cycle of TIEs. But I don't think it will ever be NuCanon since they've already skipped all the way to the Defender in Rebels.

Well the goods news is that a three ship wave telegraphs that episode eight stuff will be joining it so we can hold out hope for wave 12.

Yes I know they said Q2 but lol if they'll meet that deadline.

But the new ones will have t-rolls and an extra shield and tech slot and cost 3 pts more. And not have a missile slot for Refit. And feature unique pilots like 'Green Ace' and 'Gold Ace' and that first pilot that dies in the big battle.

I hope they wait this time until they get real info about the new ships (and the pilot names), instead of making poor guessing as before. Since Disney is locking the new trilogy movies under extreme secrecy, FFG will need to wait the release of the movie to design the new ships.

Except Disney's merchandising arm wants Episode 8 merch for Force Friday. Any company with a Star Wars merchandising lisence will have something for Episode 8 on shelves.

TIE Avenger is essential Tie Defender X-7 title.

The Alpha Class Starwing hit Star Wars LCG so I expect it is not impossible it will trickle down. The ARC showed up in some SW RPG stuff before hitting X-wing.

Actually, I've been thinking about this. The Empire has large crew carriers already, but the TIE Shuttle title for the Bomber seems a bit half-assed. The Phantom is another crew carrier, but its not quite intended for the job of a support ship, I think.

I actually wouldn't mind a well designed, small-based crew/support ship like the HWK (with a better dial, ya know, well designed). TIE Shuttle just seems more like a Veterans box patch of, "Well, the Bomber currently sucks at ordinance, so uh, to fix it, we made it not carry ordinance anymore. Ta-dah!"

So... yeah, I might like to see the TIE Reaper.
