Gunboat won last league, this league is all about fixes. There's two Missileboat entries mine which is perfect and only recieves the most minor nitpicking, and a pretender who thinks a Missileboat is simply a faster tie bomber. (I didn't actually read much of his thread because I was jealous people actually cared enough to comment on his constructively)

And Mag Pulse has been canonized in Disney Canon as well (the TIE/sf that Tweedledum and Tweedledummer use to escape Darth Emo has "lasers, missiles, and mag pulse" if I remember correctly.

It's a torpedo variant of warhead that drains weapon systems. It was useful for Gun/missile boats, TIE Bombers, and Avengers who natively didn't have ion cannons.

Mag pulse could inflict weapon disabled tokens so it's still disabling ships but in a way that differs from ion.

Had a lookup and completely forgot about that they were different than ion cannons.

Hmmm, That could be a pretty dangerous addition to the game if not done very carefully. Weapons Disabled is fine as a result of player choice (i.e. SLAM action), but being able to intentionally inflict it on an opponent sounds like it could rapidly drain fun from the game.

Maybe just up the opportunity cost of the warhead to make it useful for blocking an alpha strike but not worth getting more than one? While you are blocking another ship from attacking, you're giving up your own attack for this turn as well.

2 things to consider: Being a torpedo upgrade, Nera Dantels would be able to fire it out of arc which could indeed cause some antics such as denying a fighter directly on her tail the chance to shoot at her. Also, how would a Blockade Runner or Raider behave with these and Ordnance Tubes?

Wasting your attack to cancel an opponent's attack is a waste of your attack. Unless they only have one or two ships, in which case it's just free turns which is so powerful that you can't cost the mechanic correctly.

Imagine if it was an attack that said "ships with 3 hull are instantly destroyed" it's broken when it works, and useless when it doesn't. Save it for scenarios abd things like hotac where it's OK to give players op silver bullets.

My concern would be that it could lead to some pretty terrible scenarios, especially in competitive play. Take Odanan's Jamming Beam for example. Now apply it to two IG88's facing another two ship list.

If they kill one of the enemy ships, they can potentially just keep firing their jamming beams at the other until time is called. That's a real fun killer. OK, a warhead version would not be quite as abusable, but implications... unpleasant.

Any TIE/D, to be fair. It would practically kill off low agility ships overnight

Nah couple of weeks ago I had a game where I lost two ships early and it was vessery vs 2 Kgtfdegbg fighters and a mangler scyk, I lost one shield and killed all three.

Even with no ability he's still ps8 in a defender he can hold his own.

Still can't be worse that proton bombing a B-Wing at point blank in front of a hangar.

I've always wondered about the whole TIEs in Nebulon Frigates deal. Legends at least puts 24 TIEs on it hanging from exterior racks. Always wondered if the X-Wing and TIE Fighter Frigates had some sort of interior conveyor system that gutted out most of the interior and raised 2-3 fighters to the hangar level from the guts of the ship. Gotta think that the medical frigate had to have some kind of space to put all those wards, surgical suites, and bacta tanks. Given all that, Star Wars fighters are some of the lousiest carrier fighters that could be designed for a flat hangar area (well besides the A-Wing, they get it right). No panels or wings fold up, some just have massive extensions that do nothing more than take up extra space (looking at you B-Wing), and they're not even really modular in order to be crammed cheek to cheek if you're trying to fit as many fighters inside as possible.

Have to wonder how Assault Gunboats were stationed when not in use? You get the standard Star Destroyer launch for your missions, but what about the invariable Rho reinforcements? Do they maintain station in some corner of space with nothing else and wait for a call or is there some kind of station that would launch them to respond to distress? I'd say the dispersed fighter screen would be an awesome idea if only because it nearly instantly brings the pain to attackers as soon as the call goes out.

But wait, how foolish of me. There is an Imperial fighter that correctly uses space saving methods while in the hangar. The Xg-1 has folding wings.

Nebulons don't have any internal hangar space. They did in the original X-Wing (and TIE Fighter, IIRC), but this was probably more to do with a limited number of capital ships in the game (the original X-Wing had Nebulons, Star Destroyers, the Interdictor and... er... that's it).

What the Nebulon DOES have is the central spar section, which we see the Millennium Falcon connected to Gozanti docking clamp style at the end of Empire Strikes Back. It's not unreasonable to suggest that a Nebulon could carry a squadron of starfighters connected to docking tubes on the central spar section, but the Legends numbers quoted on the Wookiee? No chance.

The external racks thing apparently came from the Star Wars fanon wiki. I assume it pretty much covers things that wouldn't have been considered canon even in the multiple tiers of pre-Disney.
