At what point did you...

...stop punching out tokens? Although I tend to play Rebel Alliance, the collector in me wants a few of everything, so I have a pretty decent size fleet. Last night I got my collection up to date with Wave 3 and as I was opening my 2nd or 3rd TIE Bomber I realized what the heck am I going to do with all these stress tokens.

I have about 30 ships, outside of Epic Play, when would I ever need all of these focus, evade, or critical hit tokens? I understand that when you first start out these are important but at some point there's no need for them. I wonder how much the punch outs add to the cost of the expansion ships. Part of me thinks it would have been better for FFG to eliminate the cardboard in the expansions and keep it as ship, upgrades, and pilots. Then release separate token kits.

Expansions have to assume that the player does not own anything other than the core set, and therefore must include everything needed to play the new ship

I punch them all out, but I don't put all the tokens in my tackle box. I have a box of "Excess junk" that I put all my extra shield tokens, focus tokens etc. into. The only think I expect I'll ever need to get out of there are possibly more shield tokens in case I want to build a huge B-Wing and YT-1300 list for a 300 point game

I have never stopped. GLORY TO THE CARDBOARD EMPIRE

On a slightly related note, I use the critical hit tokens also for damage instead of cards. Easier to place on top of ship cards. I just keep the critical cards faceup next to the ship for reference.

I think about half of my tokens remain in the original cardboard sheets, stored with the ships they came with. This way, I have my normal supply in my game box (I've added to it with other explanations) and reserve tokens just in case.

My ADD prevents me from not punching out tokens. I am so bad that I am keeping the dots from the center of the ship bases.

punch all out, toss extras into this pile of extra tokens and keep it at home in a large ziplock bag, together with extra copies of named pilots and some upgrades you will never use in large numbers, like proton torps and deadeye

Also in the ADD "must punch out everything" category am I. I recently enlarged the token compartments in my Plano cases in anticipation of the Wave 4 influx.

^this, exactly. It was pretty liberating to hide the ridiculous number of ship ID tokens and duplicate target lock sets away in the dark recesses of my closet. Now I "only" carry 13 sets of target locks in order and rubber banded together and "only" 8 sets of ID tokens. Haven't regretted that yet.

On top of ADD, I'm also OCD. So everything has to be in its own special place. All my cards are sleeved, and sorted by ship type/upgrade type and then point value. Heck, I have my target locks alphabetized.

I am using KR Multicase as a storage option and I'm being to run out of room for all my tokens. That's when it hit me, it's not worth punching out all the tokens. They are unneeded. They are a burden and require more organization and storage management.

Third core set and Imp Aces are unpunched, rest is all over.

I punch all. When I get the plastic tokens I've ordered I'll keep those in my game box and leave the bags of ever expanding collection of cardboard tokens at home.

I will continue to punch them out, but they will no longer add bulk to my box.

Oh I do this, too.

I could've stopped punching out stuff several ships ago. A couple of weeks ago I opened up my "spare" A-Wing package just because I needed the model. I still haven't touched the other stuff that it comes with.

I've punched all of mine. I have a process to go through whenever I get a new ship. I punch out all the cardboard pieces, lay them on a tray and gloss coat them. After both sides are glossed, I use a marker to blacken the edges. Then they go in the Plano case. So far, I've put all of them in there, but its getting a bit ridiculous.

I have punched all of mine and keep them all in a small box meant for jewelry crafting supplies. They're not too big, and this way there's always a big pile to draw from to ensure that they're always accessible. Target locks are the exception because I wanted to make sure there weren't any duplicates on the board. When the double-letter ones are released with Wave 4, I'll be adding them to the collection as well.

64 ships in, I'm still merrily punching away.

I punch every thing out.

I keep enough to support two lists.

The rest gets sorted into all of those little crack baggies that you get with each ship.

I save the little dots from the dials etc. But I'm using those for a future project.....I just don't know what yet.

OH! And those proof of purchase things too.

Not only do I punch everything out, I store my target lock tokens in alphabetical order and my number identifier tokens in ascending numerical order.

I punch every thing out.

...

OH! And those proof of purchase things too.

I'm a little disappointed that the proof of purchase punch outs are only available on the larger expansions. Yes, I realize there's a proof of purchase with every expansion, but only the larger ones are punch-outable. Sigh, I suppose I'm just too lazy to cut the other ones out.
