A look at explosives:

By FootNote, in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire RPG

Glop Grenade

Skill: Ranged (light)
Damage: None
Crit: None
Range: Short
Encum: 1
Hard Points: 0
Price: 100
Rarity: 6
Special: Blast -, Ensnare 3
Notes: Glop grenades can either be timer based or set off by hitting something/someone. When they are triggered they shoot out a foam entrapping the person. It sprays out in a broad area the harden foam is only good for about 5 minutes.

Does the Ensnare quality need to be activated with Advantage?

Its an active quality, unless the weapon description says otherwise, it needs 2 advantage to activate.

However, when you miss, and you activate the Blast for 3 Advantage, do you need to activate Ensnare for 2 more?

Yep, unless the weapon description says otherwise.

Question:

On the topic of Limited Ammo weapon quality, "This also applies to grenades and other "one use" weapons which have the Limited Ammo 1 quality (here, the user is not "reloading" the grenade, but drawing another to use- but mechanically they are equivalent)." In the case of thrown weapons such as the Ascian Throwing Dagger from Fly Casual, a Limited Ammo 1 quality is applied. With the Quick Draw talent, a character can draw or holster a weapon as an incidental. The rules for Limited Ammo 1 MECHANICALLY say its a maneuver to draw a new weapon, however wouldn't a new throwing knife count as an individual weapon towards the rules of Quick Draw, allowing a character to essentially draw a new dagger as an incidental rather than a maneuver?

Apologies if this was already asked within this thread.

?

If you got quick draw them you can draw a grenade or throwing knife or whatever as per the talent. An individual grenade, knife, or gun is an individual item. So yes producing a new throwing knife as an incidental is possible with the talent.
