This is my current Targ "Bounce 'n Burn" deck. It's built for Standard format, which still exists in our part of the world. It's been burning its way through our meta for the past few weeks, and needs a few tweaks, and will most likely go through a few more tweaks in the next few weeks, but it is working out pretty well.
The cornerstone of the deck is the 5KE dragons, particularily Viserion, to trigger off the Ambush cards. Queen's Knight is the biggest irritant, and using Allies of Necessity at key moments can bring the right kind of burn to the field. Taking advantage of the cards that return to hand (Knight, Drogo, Sellsword Company, Titan's Bastard, Xaro's one-shot) help kick off the dragon abilities, and key burn can make the difference.
On Raven's Wings could easily be replaced with Benjen's Cache, to better grab a dragon or other key card. The Heralds to search for a dragon, then use the Pyro Cache to get into hand are nice as well. For Love of Duty and Don't Wake the Dragon assist in either burn or kneel effects. Swearing of Oaths is just another way to get a character (or two?) into play during challenges. Stormcrows are meant to reshuffle discarded characters back into the deck (hence the Winter Storm reset choice).
I'm also debating the merits of switching a plot for Blockade. I've always liked Blockade, and if I start the game with Influence and the right Ambush characters, I can survive a turn without gold. Heck, if I get the Kingdom locations in play I'll have gold.
There are a few other Targ decks in the local meta, two of which use the Eyrie for startup, but I don't like being that limited. I think the deck has enough decent start-up opportunities, so being stuck with The Eyrie and my startup hand doesn't thrill me much.
