Sorry, no idea. I don't regularly game there and don't know the guy who won. I'll see what I can do.

Thanks. Something is better than nothing. It is one of our only incomplete lists at this point, excluding one guy that refused to tell us his upgrades. :P

Time for another update! I have all the ships now broken down by individual pilots. Tiers have been removed, you can interpret the results yourself. Still on the to-do-list are:

  1. Adding points spent on upgrades / EPTs / modifications / etc
  2. Calculating points spent on Pilot Skill
  3. Adding archetypes for each squad type
Non-named B-wings are tearing it up! The most commonly used non-named pilots, are, by FAR:

I updated the above post to include the ship based squad breakdown. This list includes every combination of ships seen so far (and a few others as well), and then I lumped them into groupings. I am not yet differentiating between an ORS and a named YT-1300.

Still to-do:

  1. Track EPTs / upgrades / etc
  2. Track Pilot Skill

From New FAQ thread, page 4:

Geo - there are still Store Championships going on? I thought those were all done?

There's at least one more coming up this Saturday at Game Kastle in Santa Clara, CA.

Edit: otherwise I think we should be pretty much done, since the Store Championships were originally scheduled to run through February and March.

I did not see the results from the Store Championship at Game Time in Indianapolis, IN on 3/30/14. I came in second. Here are the top four lists. We had 16 players.

1st: Chewie + Gunner + Draw their Fire + Falcon, Lando + Gunner + Draw their Fire + Nien Numb

2nd: Biggs walks the Dogs - Dagger w/ Adv X2, Biggs, Rookie

3rd: Han + Gunner + Chewie + Expert Handling, Blue Sq., Rookie

Huge turnout, really great. But due to the turnout and the limited time slot, we had to run 4 shorter rounds, and top 4 were determined by SoS.

Updated with upgrades, Elite Pilot Talents, etc!

Some pre-release items have been left in as placeholders for when we collect Regionals data. I didn't feel like editing to remove everything.

Commentary:

  • The meta is currently dominated by the top 3 ships, which represent 60% of all points spent.
  • Almost as many points were spent on just B-wings than on the bottom 7 ships combined .
  • More points are spent on the top 6 pilots than on the bottom 7 ships .
  • There are a very diverse number of winning builds. This game is awesome for balanced customization [edit: at least when using the top 5 ship types]. Good job FFG.
  • Advanced Sensors and Gunner by themselves account for about one quarter of all upgrade points.
  • Push the Limit is used less than Stealth Device.
  • Rebel Squads with some combination of four X-wings and B-wings have won almost as often as Imperial 6-8 ship TIE Swarms.

I know our event isn't posted now that I'm registered here it is.

March 29th, Armada Games Temple Terrace Fl. Total of 8 players.

1st-Won be a young woman. This isn't meant to be chauvinist but this shows that the gap in gaming is becoming smaller, and I'm proud of that.

In prelims I beat a shuttle with Fel and two other interceptors; and a Falcon, hawk, y-wing and x-wing.

I lost to the 2nd place finisher twice once in prelims and in final bracket. Those 2 games were the must intense games I have ever played. First game ended up with falcon vs 3 APs. 2 hull points left on the falcon, but I couldn't seal the deal before getting blasted. Second time just as nerve wrecking came down to 2 APs vs wedge this time. Spent a few rounds trying to get position, but wedge being able to out action me did me in.

Earlier in game 2 I could have had a interceptor plus 2 APs advantage on just Wedge. Han had Stunned Pilot damage card with just one hull left. I could have jammed him with the interceptor, but I wasn't thinking clearly. Of course I was told after the fact making me feel like I real bonehead.

Lesson learned from playing against this list, if Han only does small damage with his first attack just eat it. You will must likely not have the resources to fend off a second attack.

Yup, the Store Championship at GameKastle in Santa Clara, CA on 4/19 is a real thing and may be the last official Store Championship. Should be well attended as GameKastler's spread out and took Championships at other stores and we expect others to come to do the same thing. Should be exciting!

And my wife ended up winning that one:

Chewbacca + Expert Handling + Gunner + Millennium Falcon, Blue Squadron Pilot + Heavy Laser Cannon, Rookie Pilot

2nd place was: Wedge, Dutch + Ion, Blue, Rookie

3rd place was: 2x Bounty Hunter + RecSpec + Seismic, OGP + Vader

4th place was: Luke+PtL, Garven, 2xRookie (and an R2 astromech in there, somewhere, I think)

Huge turnout, really great. But due to the turnout and the limited time slot, we had to run 4 shorter rounds, and top 4 were determined by SoS.

I know it's all random, but it still kinda feels like ya got jobbed when it comes down to SoS

Well, two of us were down to play a top-4, second and third place finishers. The turnout warranted a cut to a Top 4 single elimination, but the other participants had time constraints. It would've been a bummer, luckily the second place finisher can't attend the regional and the third place finisher already has a bye.

Would've been nice to have those final two elimination rounds, good pressure practice for regionals because every single person at this Store Championship was an able pilot, 4-0 to 0-4!
