Second place (me): Ibtisam w/ FCS, PTL and Engine Upgrade; three Rookie Pilots.

Third place: Darth Vader w/ Squad Leader and Stealth Device; Night Beast w/ Stealth Device; two Saber Squadron Pilots w/ PTL.

Fourth place: Krassis Trelix w/ Ion Cannon and Stealth Device; Mauler Mithel; Gamma Squadron Pilot w/ Proton Torpedo and two Cluster Missiles. I know he had a 99-point squad and this is only 89 points ... I can't remember where the other 10 came from. Sorry. Must have been upgrades that didn't really come into play.

I got 4th with my AABBX going 3-1, losing only to the winner.

I just have to take a moment to comment on this. I came in second, getting beat by my wife Nickie in the final. I was running an identical list to yours (Bs and Ys with Ions), and was also unable to pull out a win against her. My oldest daughter played as well. We all had a great time, and I was impressed with the skill level I faced during the day. I was also impressed with the friendliness and sportsmanship displayed by the people playing.

Commentary:

• The named YT-1300 made its way into the "non-named" list because its the only way to get the higher stat line on the YT-1300, so its essentially a different ship vs the ORS.
• The rebels have obviously made a big surge this weekend.
• Chewbacca barely beats out Howlrunner for most points spent.
• non-named B-wings get used more than any other non-named ship, by a wide margin. Right now, non-named B-wings get used twice as much as non-named Y-wings, TIE Interceptors, TIE Bombers, and A-wings combined . This might change when Rebel Aces is released and they get better pilots.
• X-wings have some amazing pilots, but the base ship isn't used nearly as much as the B-wing. I think the excellent X-wing pilots are carrying the ship's overall numbers.
• A large amount of points are spent on named TIE Fighter pilots, but then they're pretty cheap and have great abilities, so no real surprise there. It's certainly not all just academy swarms though.
• The TIE Advanced's non-named usage finally got above zero.
• 6 named pilots still have not been used.
• Han might have won the Millennium Falcon in a card game, but apparently Lando is still better at flying it. Barely.

First off... Thanks to you and Rakky for all the hard work. This awesome information.

I just recently finished my 7th and final store championship and the numbers don't lie. TIE swarms (many led by Howl) are still performing well for the imperium. Chewie is getting a ton of play, unnamed B's are everywhere, and Biggs continues to be a difference maker in the hands of skilled players.

If you are heading to regionals you better have a plan to deal with these 4 squads/ pilots.

Thanks! I've had my best win/loss with variations of this build. I just can't seem to get builds to work for me sadly.

That and I love the shock at getting all hits when you stack TL and focus. Or the amazing survivability with evade and dual focus stack.

OK, another update. Lord Vader imposes his will on the Northwest circuit!

Middle and Bottom "tiers" are getting blurred, so I merged them into one. It's 5 ships that get used a lot, vs everything else.

Interesting note: Far more expected than the interceptors from the day prior, all 4 rebel squads had at least 1 non-named B-wing.One list had 2 blues, one had 2 daggers, one had 1 blue in a 4 ship build, and the last had 1 dagger and Ten Numb in a 3 ship build (with Jan)

X-wings have some amazing pilots, but the base ship isn't used nearly as much as the B-wing. I think the excellent X-wing pilots are carrying the ship's overall numbers.

Alternatively, the X-wing pilots are cheap , which makes it appealing to spend the extra few points to turn that basic X-wing into Biggs or Garven if you're going to bring an X-wing at all. B-wings, on the other hand, are almost always generic pilots because the cost to go from generic to named is so much higher and usually commits you to a three-ship list. So virtually 100% of the B-wings count toward the "non-named only" list, while many of the "cheap" X-wings don't.

I expect this effect will get even more dramatic when the transport expansion brings a 23-point named X-wing. Don't be surprised at all to see X-wings drop to bottom tier on the "non-named only" list because virtually all of those rookies and reds got upgraded to a very efficient character.

Actually Fett has been used, third place at Games of War at Seaham UK 29th March. It was said Unless we are just counting Top 1/2 for this ship list.
