Character sheet pdf size - printing bad

By farseer, in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire RPG

No matter what i do, i cannot scale the downloadable pdf character sheet to fit a 8.5x11 sheet. Any ideas? It prints too wide and too long.

"No matter what I do" is somewhat broad, I assume that means you've checked printer setting properties?

Save the PDF to a memory card, bring the memory card to kinkos/staples/office depot, print it there.

I have defaults set for normal letter sized did not work. I confirmed/changed printer settings are/to letter sized, scale to page, no margins, nothing works. I'm no newb. Same printer for 4-5 years, I have printed LOADs of gaming material and pdfs never had any issues like this.

(prints out pdf... sees that it is the correct size... smells it in) Mmmmmmmm. Correctly sized character sheet.

Works for me... 2 different printers in home no issue.

Just to confirm, I have had no issues at home or at Staples... I found I had issues with the 4E DND sheets. Same problem.

I assume checking the "Fit to page" box had no effect? That solved my DND sheet issue.

Also, I use CutePDF Writer with other problem docs, but they may have no relevance here...

Good luck!

Have you tried the fillable .pdf forms availble stickied on these forums? I don't know how those are pre-set, but they print perfectly every time.

*Edit* I re-read your first post and realized those are the same forms in question, my bad.

So, three cpus (home, work 1 and work 2) and three printers and no luck. Same issue. Scale/fit to page is useless. the file is laughing at it..

I had problems printing from the PDF direct from the website. I saved it to disk and then it worked properly.

Weird question Farseer. What region do you reside? I'm wondering if there's inconsistencies with your printer's settings and the document.

Also, let's take the Microsoft method of troubleshooting: Have you tried downloading a brand new file and printing that one off?

Finally, what PDF viewing software do you use?
