Simple E Clarification

By MyticTutor, in UFS Rules Q & A

In rule book that comes with the starter deck it says, "Any copy of an Enchance may only be played once per Enhance Step." I assumed that meant if you had 4 copies of say Adoration, you could only use one card this E step to speed that attack and if you attached again later in the turn you could use the next card and etc., but now that I've started playing in turnaments I see people committing four copies of the same card in one E step. Is that allowed?

Or is the above rule refurring to cards like Bitter Rivals that don't require a commit so you can't use the same card over and over, which I know you can't, but the above rule can't be refurring to that since there is only on card, no copies.

Then how about cards like Empire's Ruin. It sounds like you can commit 10 foundations and gain +20 speed.

Can somebody clarify?

Thanks.

From my understanding you may only play an E on a foundation once per copy during an enhance phase.

Example: If you did have 4x cards with E: Give this attack +2 speed. You could use all four of those cards to give this attack +8 speed.

However you may not use the same E on a card multiple times during the same E phase. Which stops you from using cards that don't commit after their use.

Edit: For your examples -

Adoration: Yes, each copy can be used.

Bitter Rivals: Correct again, you can't use this E again this enhance phase unless you had another copy.

Empire's Ruin: No, but if you had multiple copies of this, you cuold use an E (Commit 1 foundation gain +2 speed) on each copy during one enhance phase, then the next one you could do it again on all copies.

Any enhance, no matter the cost or how many copies of the card you have in a staging area, can be used once per enhance step unless otherwise stated (eg - can only be used on a certain player's attack or states on the card that it can be used multiple times).

Obviously if the card is committed and isn't "playable while committed" then you cannot use the enhance until it readies again.

You could have 4 copies of, let's say, Empire's Ruin, and you could use each copy once per enhance step so long as you can continue to pay the cost, so you could give each attack +2 speed 4 times per attack.

Besides the Charlie/Remy cards from the Deadly Ground/Warrior's Dream expansions respectively, cards in the staging area are not affected by other copies of themselves.
