I have a question regarding the heroic ability function. This might be a dumb question, but are you REQUIRED to use the heroic ability function if it's rolled? This question was triggered by me recently using my Blood Harvesters when they were weak and attacking an adjacent hex. The enemy was at full strength and I rolled 2 double sworded dice and 1 heroic dice. In this instance, I would have preferred to deal 2 damage and not kill off my last Blood Harvester due to the heroic dice, especially since my blood harvester was standing on a victory point. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

The heroic ability is optional, as you have to commit Heroic die result to trigger it, and committing die results is optional.
