well I finally painted one of my Firesprays. I didn't want to go with the repaints out there, wanted to make my own. Although, I did see one that was painted like Boba Fetts armor, and it was pretty sweet.
I had saw a video of some hex camo done with airbrush. I don't have one, but I liked the idea, so i found some pics online of some hex camo patterns. I put painting tape on the paper and cut them out. it was pretty much a pain in the butt. The one video I saw was for Anarchy stencils. Wish I would have had them. Anyhow, did my first coat in a dark grey mix, put on the first set of tape, then mixed a dark purple, more tape, then Administratum grey. took it off once it was dry and then kinda wished it would have worked better, some of the tape (from being handled and sometimes scraped off sticky from sticking to much to the paper) didn't seal 100% so it leaked in a little on some edges, not all. Also see that I could have put more tape on. I was going to put on another cut out of a image, but the cut would have been so small and I don't think my free hand would have reached my goal. I will see if I can figure something out to put on there for it..
I gave it a wash in a green/black mix, which I don't think went as well as I wanted. Went on to put on on another just black wash which really toned down the final grey I used.
what you don't see in the photos is a little engine color with blazing orange and white highlights. once again, I'm not sold on it.
Over all I am happy with the final. It will stick out from others on the table, and that was my goal.
I also, since I had my paints out, put a paint job on my YT. I looked up some images found that not alot of purple out there, so I mixed a lighter purple then I had mixed for the FSpray. I painted a pattern I liked, covered the red panels with my grey. and actually that grey is super super close to the light grey panels already painted on there. so it was a nice.
