Hmm... I'll be thinking about it today on the work and will make somehting when I get home after. Hopefully, I will find some good art to represent him by the time.

I'd do the thug trait as a leadership (some of last thug allies not to be neutral, maybe leadership). Because tactics has his own: eagles; spirit: rohan (Mustering Rohirrim); and lore trackers. And leadership? Gondor?... no, lots of characters are gondor and from other spheres...so: thug! Yeah!

Isn't top 15 cards of the deck is too big?

Eagle search searched top 5 and added EVERY eagle to the hand. Mustering added one from the top 10 cards and costed 1.

This adds one from 15 and costs 0.

Yes, but you must exhaust one thug character as a condition. And i think you dont have (at least at the moment) lots of thug characters in your deck, and the idea is can chose the thug character you want/need.

Ok, maybe the cost would be: 1 resource and exhaust one thug character. (But then..., 20 top cards if able :D )

20 cards would be half of the deck by the time you use this card. Just think of it.

Also, I got a couple of interesting ideas about Thug events. Still thinking about Thug hero.

Makes little thematical sense to me that dagger damages enemies engaged with another player =O

Also, it says Tugh Dagger in the text.

As for Thug Ambush: You forgot "Until the end of phase". In current state, your card gives control of all your thug possession forever :D

The dagger damaging another enemies..., i love this idea, is like a backstab.

Yes, the idea of Thug Ambush is, yes, forever. Leadership can do it, for it is leadership. Parting Gifts is a little similar, you can get the resources of other player to yourselve (with the limitation that the source must be leadership, but here it not matters the source).

Isn't giving away your allies forever is a bit harsh? Other player may not have the possibility to give them back. If it's forever for real, why the "Limit once per phase"? And, by the way, by the card text, it gives control of all Thug allies in play to another player, not just ones you control.

Neutral and thug cards played from your hand gain Secrecy: 1.

Event:

Gone to Ground (spirit) Cost: 2

Thug.

Take X thug allies you control and shuffle them into your deck. Then, each player may lower his threat by X.

Isn't giving away your allies forever is a bit harsh? Other player may not have the possibility to give them back. If it's forever for real, why the "Limit once per phase"? And, by the way, by the card text, it gives control of all Thug allies in play to another player, not just ones you control.

Lol, yes all they were the original idea. With 2 copies of it, you can change the controller.

But ok, maybe change: 1 cost and only allies you control (and quit out 'limited once per phase', of course, useless now)

PD: i was thinking about 1 or 2 hability thug allies can change controller paying by the controller, so that even hadn't a forever effect.

Action : Discard a card from your hand to choose a thug card in your discard pile and add it to your hand. Limit once per round.

Distractionbeast, you could be a very good developer of lotr-lcg :rolleyes: . Have you thought about making any fanmade?

To search for thug images in the web is difficult, but i will try to find any and build an entire card from your ideas. Can i?

Shadowy contractor: maybe too powered, i'd limit his action..., mabye exhaust him in adition, or only once per game. How about?

Thanks! I've done some custom card designs, but I don't have time or tools to do it at the moment. I think this thug-related string of posts inspired me to throw out some new ideas.

BTW, my thinking on the contractor was that if Outlands can have a spend X to retrieve X, a card swap once per turn shouldn't be too bad. You'd have to have reliable card draw to make it worthwhile, and you'd still spend the cost to play the card. Hama has a similar effect and arguably tactics events are more potent individually. None of the proposed thug cards are gamebreaking really (minus the first iteration of Caleb!).

Wow! We could create a whole card pool! I'll post some of my ideas soon.... Too busy at the moment.
