Where/how does the passenger in the AT-PT sit?

So I'm looking at the AT-PT and wondering how it fits a passenger? Assuming a passenger fits, does it have front/rear seating (like an Apache helicopter) or side-by-side seating (like a Blackhawk helicopter)?

I'm asking because I'm considering adding a weapon operated by the passenger. Most likely a partial turret replacing the grenade launcher with an Auto-Blaster firing Forward, Port, and Starboard. I picture it drooping from the chin much like the chain gun on the Apache. Of course, I could certainly add it while retaining the grenade launcher if I want to spend a Hard Point on it, but I find the grenade launcher mostly useless.

...I have no idea where ffg got that...

Say side by side....and really really friendly... Or maybe jawas...

I always assumed they were seated side by side, probably because of the AT-ST configuration from RotJ. But according to Wookieepedia only later models had room for a passenger; early ones were single-person only.

Ah, so later models may not have been properly depicted in the art yet... Or an EU author got lazy...

Looking at the images, I'd pretty much guarantee that it's a front/back arrangement.

Doesn't leave any room for the engine then, and the Viewport is tiny....

Really, I'm guessing whoever added the passenger did it to meet some story requirement, which is fine, but never got an updated image made to allocate space. Its like trying to find the second seat on a standard model F-16 after reading an article about the 2 seat trainer version.

The passenger may be tucked betweem the minimal storage and pilot seat, sitting on the floor. It doesn't say comfortably after the passenger listing.
