A name for the Advanced Campaign

By shnar, in Doom

As I'm writing up the rules for the Advanced Campaign for Doom, I was wondering what a good name might be for the overall 'expansion'? Looking at some of the past incarnations of Doom, these ones jumped out at me (all of these are either level names or episode names from the various Doom computer games):

The Shores of Hell
Inferno
And Hell Followed
Walls of the Damned
The Gateway of Hell
Redemption Denied
Alter of Pain

I don't have my mission book handy, can someone list all of the names of the missions from both the base game and the expansion? I don't want to use a name that's already in use (like Knee Deep in the Dead).

I remember the quests from the base game used the names of the episodes from the original Doom (Knee Deep, Shores of Hell, Inferno, Thy Flesh Consumed) and the fifth was "And Hell Followed", which wasn't an episode I remember (unless they added yet another at some point after I stopped playing the game.)

Not sure about the expansion quest names, don't remember them.

I definitely love "And Hell Followed..." for the title. It's incredibly foreboding and it makes it sound like no matter how hard the marines run, no matter how many demons they destroy, no matter how much #@$! they go through, hell is just constantly dogging them and will never relent until they are nothing but doggie food for the puppy demons (:

Also, that title is the seventh map of Thy Flesh Consumed in Doom. But I would definitely use that title. The other ones are nice, but... like I explained above, it has deep meaning to it (: ...

The only other level name I found was "Halls of the Damned". You got most of the good ones out of Doom, but it seems like D2/D3 started using more generic level names, so I think that list is pretty close to finished as far as choices go, unless you want to make one up.

*Coughs* And Hell Followed... !
