So would this list work? Using the a-wing as a flanker or blocker and the b-wings doing the hard work,
What do you reckon?

I'm guessing the A-Wing would be ignored completely in favour of destroying those B's.
Could work actually, as the A-Wing is cheap as chips and can also be used to block.
I just bought my 2nd and 3rd B-wings today, along with some other ships, looking forward to trying out something similar
I think this would be pretty effective, not the most interesting squad ever but very solid with the A blocking and the Bs picking off at least a ship every round.
The humble prototype pilot shouldn't be used just as a blocker, send it around the flank or rear of the enemy. You'll be amazed at how good it is at finishing off injured ships whilst staying out of firing arc.
3 Dice at R1 on an injured ship is not to be sniffed at. It will in all likely hood also give your opponent food for thought if you send it on an end run as no one wants to have a ship behind them, but neither do they want to turn ships away from the very deadly B's.
Think outside the box for your A-Wing, don't just relegate it to the sacrificial blocker.
Just my 2 cents having used the tactic a few times.
If we aren't using it as a blocker, then why not upgrade to the Green Squadron Pilot? AdvSenseB's don't need blockers, as they can focus/barrel roll before moving, and it'll help a tad with boosting to have the higher skilled pilot.
I guess the OP used a prototype as the 3 B's with ADV. Sensors come to 81 points so not enough left over for the Green with PtL?
yep even tho I thought it came to 82 so little mistake on my part lol
How about a small change with no A-wing
Dagger, adv sensor x 2
blue. adv sensor
Rookie Pilot
One list I want to try is:
3x Blue Squad
-Sensor Jammer
Green
-PTL
I'm not a huge fan of the PS bid normally and I really want to try sensor jammers. I have a feeling that it will keep the B-Wing around a lot more and actually might be a decent counter to other B's because if they have to focus they aren't barrel rolling. PTL Green is just deadly if it gets ignored.
I am still more sold on the 3B's and A list, but that is more a flight style preference.
Sensor Jammer is something I want to spend more real game time with before I have a real opinion on it.

I fooled around with it on Ibby for a bit, and it's definitely worth the 4 points, especially if you can get her to last till end game. But I haven't decided if it's worth the sensors slot. Combine it with elusiveness on her, and she's all of a sudden rather tanky. Plus if you have that A wing action denying, then they don't have a focus anyways. It also works well against alpha strikes, unless its from a PTL Green alpha strike.
How about
Blue, FCS
Blue Adv sensor x2
Green, ptl, concussion
or
blue, adv sensor x3
Green, ptl, stealth
also with that last list, they are all 25 points, so the other player has no stand out big target
I am not sold on FCS on B-Wings, I want dead ships each round, not wounded ones, wounded ones shoot back so I concentrate fire and thus usually won't get the benefit from FCS.
right so go with the
blue, adv sensor x3
Green, ptl, stealth
quite like that list lol
It's actually also rather fluffy to run 3 B's and an A' because that was how Blue Squadron broke up the squad
at the Battle of Endor.
Yay fluff list, now just need a target lol
I enjoy
3x Dagger FCS
1x Green PTL
The pilot skill 4 on the B seems to help against the current use of Blues or other low skill ships.
The A just passes by into the flanks and picks up the pieces.
As said above fcs seems a waste if i. Want to kill a ship a turn
