anybody ever play the old sopwith game? if so how do you all think a maneuver panel like that would work in X-wing? granted its played on a hex board. but i always liked that game for the same reasons i like X-wing, although X-wing has waaaay more variation.

What would be the point/advantage?

more maneuvers... and you wouldn't have to use templates to move... although that's a mixed blessing. i like having the open board..
