I think it's just a matter of nobody has the book yet. MM and Cool Stuff are both still showing it as preorder, and nobody in town here has it for love nor money. Aside from the one-off instance, we've not seen any "I have it!" yet. It's just a matter of time. . . .
Edited by DesslokDangerous Covenants off the boat and SHIPPING!!
I have no idea what vehicles are in this one. Any hints?
Lots. Seriously. Everything from speeders to capital ships... so I can't be that specific without knowing what you're looking for.
How about freighters appropriate for starting options? ( < or = 120,000c)
Only one of the included freighter-sized ships could work as a starting option, the other three are much more expensive.
The Surronian Conquerer-class Assault ship is under 120,000cr, but it has a rarity of 9, and isn't terribly luxurious --no crew quarters, for example. It is an interesting alternative...
On the other hand, the 4R3 Light Assault Transport, the YV-929 Light Freighter, and the YZ-775 Medium Transport are all in the same category, but considerably more expensive. Also, these things are so well armed, that the paltry 1 to 2 hardpoints they have means that there's not a lot of customization options for these ones.
Would it be possible to provide which bottom row talent positions link to each of the two signature abilities?
Unmatched Protection seem to be positioned from the two outside talents on the bottom of a given talent tree, while Last One Standing comes from the two middle ones.
From this Bodyguards and Mercenary Soldiers have the fastest tree access to Last One Standing, while the Heavy and Enforcer get quickest access to Unmatched Protection.
The Heavy's Talent tree is cool, but winds around a lot.
Agatheron, you're my hero!
I happen to have it at my fingertips at the time. The book also has about 2 pages worth of new talents specific to these specializations.
Please tell me that the Heavy doesn't have Barrage. I really dislike that Talent.

Care to spoil them, Agatheron? Please? ![]()
And as 2P51 asked, how do the talents match up with the skills this time around?
Argh! Another round of calls to the FLGSes, another "Nope, it should be any day!"
Please tell me that the Heavy doesn't have Barrage. I really dislike that Talent.
You are really not going to like Last Man Standing then, I reckon!

Alas, I cannot tell you that. The Heavy gets this one in spades (up to 3 ranks).
What's the reason you don't like Barrage?
Care to spoil them, Agatheron? Please?
Hm. It's more like a page and a half, working out to about 16 new talents.
Of these new ones,
the Heavy gets access to Burly, Heavy Hitter, Heroic Resistance, and Rain of Death.
the Demolitionists gets access to Improvised Detonation, Improved Improvised Detonation, Master Grenadier, Selective Detonation, Powerful Blast, Selective Detonation, Steady Nerves, Time to Go, and Improved Time to Go.
Enforcers gets access to Fearsome, Loom, Talk the Talk and Walk the Walk.
Burly, for example, reduces the Cumbersome rating on a weapon by 1 for each rank of Burly.
So on the Heavy... do they get any kind of special boost regarding possession or eating of sandvich? ![]()
I recognize several of the Demolitionist's new talents from the Saboteur in AoR, but that's not too surprising given the overlap in theme between the two.
I'm taking a wild stab in the dark, but I'd guess that HappyDaze's issue with Barrage is that it's really not that useful, since it only takes effect at long or extreme range, two range categories that don't show up very often in a lot of combats; most fights tend not to go much past Medium range, due to most PCs only having pistols, which cap out at Medium range. Even if one does feel that it's a subpar talent, it does make sense for the Heavy given they're all about using the big-arse guns.
Rain of death?!? Awesome.
Any chance of a detailing on Rain of Death - it sounds beastly.
I'd almost guess that Rain of Death in some way plays off of Autofire, possibly even making Autofire attacks a bit easier for the Heavy by dropping the "increased difficulty" aspect or *shudder* cutting the Advantage cost down to 1. Or it could make Autofire attacks more potent than they already are, possibly by upping the damage if it's a ranked talent.
So on the Heavy... do they get any kind of special boost regarding possession or eating of sandvich?
Da... er... yeah... er... kinda. The Heroic Resilience allows you to blow a destiny point when you take damage and increase soak by your ranks in Resilience.
Could you just start at page 1 and type what it says. You can stop at the end of the book.
I can't wait 3 days for mine to arrive!!

In regards to the Demolitionist, are there any talents having anything to do with their skills? Improvised Detonation and Steady Nerves appear as new, the rest I see from the Saboteur. Is there anything having anything to do with Cool, Computer, Mechanics, or Skullduggery?

Yes.
The only one I don't see is Computer.

It'd take more than three days...
Pretty decently constructed then I would say. I'll know more in a few days of course. I'm really looking forward to Enforcer and now Demolitionist more than I originally expected. Heavy sounds pretty funny but not sure it has as much utility other than Joe Gun, not that Joe Gun is a bad guy or anything.

Yeah, that pretty much sums it up. We've not seen too much use out of it despite one of our primary combatants (A Bodyguard) having two ranks of it from early on in the campaign.
I think Barrage as a talent will serve a Heavy much more so, simply because of the nature of the weapons that they are likely to carry. Also, as much as the talent tree winds around, you're not forced to take all three Barrage talents to take advantage of the tree's route. Burly-->Barrage-->Brace seems to be the pattern...
Do any of the new Specializations offer Point Blank or True Aim?
I don't see either of those in any of the three new trees.
