Dangerous Covenants off the boat and SHIPPING!!

By polyheadronman, in Star Wars: Edge of the Empire RPG

Strangely enough, still no date....this vexes me, but oh well. Cue xmas muzak as my not so inner child stays up reeeaaalll late...

Let this henceforth be the place to declare findings, etc...

Amazon has it listed as a 02/28 release date, for what it's worth. Seems reasonable.

Boo-yah! My hired gun is ready to roll.

Now comes the waiting till someone gets it to find out if the concussion rifle is in it!

Yeah, I wasn't going to say anything but .... usps says I'll get it tomorrow

If I'm in luck I'll have it in two weeks. If themensch is getting it tomorrow that is.

If you'd be so kind as to post a list of the ships when you get it, I would be forever grateful.

And weapons for me please.

Could you tell me who is thanked in the introduction please?

Also whatever is on page 36.

All questions shall be answered within the limits of copyright and free time, if I am in fact not being trolled about the delivery date. Or I might just hole up and read it before the Q&A session!

Well, I just made a round of calls to all the FLGS - not holding out a lot of hope, mind you - and as expected, nothing had shown up yet. Yeah, it'll probably be sometime next week before I get my hands on this!

(Also: six hundred and sixty sixth post! Evil EEEE-VIL!)

Where do you order from?

I'd hate to get them in trouble if in fact they did violate the street date. I will say that when I went to pre-order on Amazon and saw a $12 shipping & handling fee, I spit out my beer, grumbled some swears, and went to google and found a reputable online RPG business in the first 10 search results.

Once I see what's on page 36 we can confirm I'm not a dirty liar.

Scroll up ever so slightly, my friend!

Gotcha. Think I know. I can wait. They're a good company but I loathe all things USPS. I wish they used/offered UPS or Fedex.

After all the money and time I've spent at the post office back when I was slinging music to pay the bills, I can take it. I still think I'm being trolled though.

USPS is my only option. I wish amazon and FFG played better together. For some reason they are really slow to stock FFG products and in many cases are more expensive than the small retailers. I'd love to use the small reatailers, but most of them either won't ship to me or they don't honor their free shipping offers. Le sigh

I'm really looking forward to dangerous covenants.

The reason for this is that Amazon is not actually selling the RPG products. All the entries that are being sold "from amazon" is being done through their fulfillment program. This means that the product has to go from the distributer, to whatever company has decided to sell the product on amazon, then get packaged up and sent to amazon, and then amazon has to get it to their warehouse and process it before it's available for sale.

There's horrid lag time involved in all that, and then the seller can set whatever price they want on the product. And since amazon is taking a cut they can't set it at a price that other online retailers could aford to sell it to you directly for.

I hate to rub salt into your wounds but usps does show this package is in my city at the sorting facility.

Holy moly, I know right where that is, too - not far! Why, I could drive up there right now!

True, but with larger game companies the products are available from amazon WAY before release date. It's like amazon has no freaking clue that these books are coming out. Maybe FFG isn't publishing upcoming books in some great upcoming book database or something.

The only way to get the books is through the smaller sellers on amazon. A few weeks after release date, they will eventually show up available from amazon, not just an affiliate, but amazon itself. The affiliate program will show sold by X and fullfilled by amazon.

It's not for sale on Miniature Market yet either.

1) you cursed yourself. 2) if somehow you didn't curse yourself a post as to what species are included would put you on my list of favorite people on the boards, right quick like.

Seriously though, I hope you do get it.

1) you cursed yourself.

Yeah, I wasn't going to say anything but when someone else mentioned it was shipping I thought I wouldn't be alone. Well, my copy of EtU was a week late, perhaps this is just the universe leveling out.
