I totally missed this. Mass combat on Page 81... although its far more narrrative based, rather than working everything out in structured gameplay.
This might almost make up for the lack of the Concussion Rifle...

Anyone else get totally screwed by the Miniature Market 5 days of no shipping?
Ahh.. first world problems.
Well, I live in a 1st world country, not some dumphole, so those are the problems I have.
Seriously, MM could have given some email notice that they were shipping nothing for 5 days so I could go some other route.
It would all be fine, because I would just cancel now and order from one of the Amazon choices, but turns out the office is totally closed for 5 days, and there is no way on the site to cancel an order (that I can find).
Way to punish a customer for pre-paying for something.
Pretty dissatisfied as a customer, probably not using MM again.

Better than CoolStuffInc, which only got theirs and shipped today.
I wonder if there was something up in the supply chain? We're at the far end of the 10 day window, it seems that the stores have been really slow in getting the book, and the on-line people (who are usually pretty on the spot) and lagging behind. I wonder if there was weather issues or something?

I preordered at Miniature Market as well, but I was expecting this because I knew about the move a little over a month in advance. They had signs up all over the front desk at their physical store; I don't know if that information was as readily available on the website. Regardless, they've done a pretty good job in the past of getting books to me a day or two before the street date, so I wasn't all that upset about this particular incident.
What is bothering me about their move is the fact that they're going from about a ten minute drive for me to an over thirty minute drive. The cost of gas being what it is, it's going to be harder for me to justify shopping there anymore. I'm probably just going to start paying full retail at a comic and game store much closer to my house after this one...
MM is moving their store. That's the reason. They had huge sales with 40%+ off of most items for the last few weeks.
Yoshiyahu - I understand totally about the drive. I have never had a game store less than 40 minutes distance to me. (And even then, they are not friendly.)
MM probably had notices on the site about the move, but considering that I only visit the site when I want something, I never saw them. My biggest piece of irritation with the entire situation is the inability to easily cancel an order on the website (unless I'm completely stupid and just missing it.)

You might try the "Live Support" tab on the right side of the page and if you get in touch with someone, ask to cancel the order. Barring that, perhaps try to contact their customer support phone number or email address. They've been prompt in returning my emails when I've needed to deal with them, but there's no guarantee during the move, obviously. I understand why you're frustrated.

I think there might be more to this story, on their end. I just talked to them 2 days ago, while I was trying to track down the vender that was shipping the books early, from the "hints" left on this very board. Anyway, they told me because it was new that they had them available and they were not in the "unpacking mess". Thus it could be in the mail, after it was released. They never said I'd have to wait any "5 days", unless I wanted something added to the order that was in the "mess".
Not trying to cause a stir or anything here. Just lookin out for a star wars sibling.
And as to the hints: I tried the top 20 stores that popped up on the Google search, and not a darn one of them was sending it out.
Edited by ShamrockI had to cancel my pre-order with MM for this book because I knew they wouldn't get it to me by the time I needed it. Live support works perfectly, I had no hassles. Only caveat is that if your order was made more than... I think 60 days ago, you have to wait a bit longer for them to get your payment refunded. I just chose gift certificate and they sent me the amount within the hour.
You could also just leave them a message now online - but if you do live support, then they have to deal with you now, as opposed to just going through the messages one at a time whenever they get a chance.
EDIT: Also, in the East Bay in California, Game Kastle in San Jose got their shipment in yesterday and sold out almost instantly, but the one in Fremont got theirs today and still had a few books left over after I grabbed mine.
Edited by LathropThanks guys. I sent an email/message via their website, asking them to let me know the status or else cancel my order.
For all I know, it's already on the way to me and they never sent a shipped email due to all their moving hassles.
Just off the phone to my local shop. Dangerous Covenants will be in UK shops (supplied by Esdevium) on Tuesday next week!
4 days, how will I survive this wait!?
My online retailer is closed till the 8th of march while the brick and mortar moves. The sad part, I have a paid for suns of fortune and pandemic on the brink waiting for dangerous covenants to come in to ship.
So everyone complaining about not getting the newest book, I'm still waiting on the previous one, so
Ob the other hand, my books are 10 dollars less than retail.
So any chance of a ship and weapon list being posted?
Edited by That Blasted SamophlangeSo Ontario, California and the UK are sounding off. Good news for everyone and a healthy amount of spoilers to keep us salivating.
People are complaining that they are not getting Dangerous Covenants on time. Here in Australia, Enter the Unknown is not even available No one can get it. If I order it from overseas via Ebay or Amazon the cost of postage is about the same as the **** book.
I'm still waiting on the bookdepository UK to say that they have it back in stock. Already had a refund from them in Decemeber when they got it in but where sold out by the time they processed my order.

REALLY, This really makes me think my early delivery was a fluke, probably somebody's first day at the warehouse or something. I'll note that the vendor still said "available for preorder" when I received mine, so it really does sound like I got lucky here. Guess we'll see with Jewel of Yavin!
p.s. I'm a crappy Chosen One, I guess one of you guys is going to come cut my legs off and leave me for dead on Mustafar, eh?
Don't try it themensch, I've got the high ground.
Hello everyone! I'm new to the community, but have been following these threads for quite a while. I'm in michigan, and just got a call from my local shop. My copy is in, and I will have it in a matter of hours.
Also themensch, we won't send palpatine to find you. We'll send Jar Jar.
Well, it has swapped to being in stores now.
Don't try it themensch, I've got the high ground.
Yeah but I have the book!

Walked into my game store and the box had just been opened and it was sitting on the counter!
What kind of Subspecies options are we talking about?
The bulldogs get to pick non-career and the combat choices? Wow that's nice.
Does the pheromone communication work for non-Weequay or is it like Lekku speak?
Aqualish have Aquala, Ualaq, and Quara. In addition to the basic brawl + under water breathing, you get the choice of resilience and removing setbacks because of wet/cold conditions, survival or perception and removing a setback because things are dark (adding one if things are too bright), and athletics or coercion and removing a setback to track through natural environments.
Weequays can only communicate this way with other Weequays, and only in short range.
