To be honest my players and I have built a lot of our new campaign around Enter the Unknown and Suns of Fortune.
They're a group of explorers, including a Chiss Archaeologist, searching for ancient relics, there is a Duros Pilot whose Obligation is tied to the politics of the Duro/Corellia tensions, and we've got a fair amount of cave diving and tomb raiding ahead of us.
I'm reading Dangerous Covenants to take advantage of the new races, new gear, ships, etc, but the latest books have had so much inspiration in them that I don't need as much right now!
Still very happy it's out, there is just an embarrassment of riches for a Star Wars RPG fan right now!
Are there any new weapon or armor attachments in the book? I guess if I have to I can wait until tomorrow when my copy is supposed to show up, but I'm just curious now after listening to the most recent Order 66 podcast.

There are 5 new weapon attachments in the book and 6 new armor attachments. There are also 3 weapon attachments for ships and 3 utility attachments for ships.
Cool section on converting non-military vehicles into a paramilitary vehicle.
Also a section on proper credit awards for various hired gun jobs in the galaxy.
And now the longest half hour in the history of time. My FLGS has one behind the counter for me, but I'm stuck here at work until 3-ish. A pox on thee, The Man, for keeping me from, my game book.
(Nobody point out the irony of The Man keeping me until 3-ish allows me to actually BUY said book. Your logic has no place here!)

Florida to Canada wasn't my best choice for pre-ordering, but it was the only place I could find that did take a pre-order.
I'm going to also create a new topic, but I suddenly realized that I blew it in terms of describing Signature Abilities. I hadn't realized that in the signature abilities nodes, a character needs to own BOTH of the talents to which the signature abilities attach. For example, Unmatched protection attaches to the two outer talents at the bottom of an in-career talent tree, while Last One Standing attaches to the two inner talents. I had presumed that a character need only have one before moving into signature abilities... my bad. I'm surprised nobody called me on it.
Anyway, this changes my earlier assessment only slightly. A Bodyguard and Mercenary Soldier still have the fastest route to Last One Standing (6 talent purchases), while Enforcer and Mercenary Soldier have the fastest route to Unmatched Protection (8 talent purchases).
Still, these signature abilities are downright cool. Last One Standing moves into clearly a narrative mode.

Gene-Lock (only useable by the user)
Laser Sight; Pistol Grip (turns non-cumbersome Ranged heavy to Ranged light, but adds a setback and reduces range to medium)
Secondary Missile system - kinda self-explanatory. One use thing.
Wrist Mount: Allows any ranged(light) weapon to be mounted on someone's wrist.
Armor attachments:
Integrated Med Systems
Hands-free weapon system (shoulder mounted or otherwise)
Multi-band comlink
Integrated Scanner
Range Finder
Integrated Targeting computer
The Starship and Vehicle modifications are a bit more complex.
That is quite a set of attachments. Now I feel even worse that I can't get this until tomorrow.

Gene-lock - weapon only fires for specific individual - mod option for self destruct
Laser sight - auto advantage on successful combat check
Pistol grip - weapon skill changes to ranged light but add a black die if wielded one handed. Also shortens too medium range
Missile system - enables weapon to fire rockets or missiles
Wrist mount - weapon worn on wrist
Armor attachments:
Med systems - once per session incidental use of self stim pack and adds blue die to all medicine checks on wearer
Hands free weapon system - mounted weapon
Internal long range com link
Integrated scanner - functions like general purpose scanner and adds blue die to perception to detect movement
Range finder - adds talent sniper shot
Targeting computer - add blue die to all long and medium ranged attacks.

Also just noticed on many ship stat blocks there's a new section called additional rules that add some extra info about the vehicles and ships.
I totally missed this. Mass combat on Page 81... although its far more narrrative based, rather than working everything out in structured gameplay.
