One of the store championships that I'm planning on attending is planning to use a 45" x 30" alternate play area. I'm trying to get clarification on which edge the deployment areas are on, but I'm guessing the long edge. Does anyone have experience playing with these, or similar, non-square areas? Can you imagine any list concepts and strategies that might benefit or suffer from such a format?

Flanking! You've got a little more room to draw an opponent away with the furball with an interceptor. Getting your opponent to split his or her force and zinging back with an a wing or a squint could present you with some great opportunities.
