Necro thread is still fun... I tried this list last week for a win against a decimator build:

Tycho + Awing Test pilot + proton rockets + daredevil + Experimental Interface + PTL

Jake + Awing Test pilot + Chardaan Refit + Lone Wolf + VI

GSP + Awing Test Pilot + Chardaan Refit + PTL + Intimidation

Prototype + Chardaan Refit

Jake didn't get to use Lone wolf a whole lot, maybe twice, but he was the victor! Tycho got gunned down too quick

I play for fun as much as for victory. Recently got me a pair of A-wings and repainted 'em.

Two A-wings? Give them Push the Limit, and Wingman via Prototype Veteran

Impressive use of proton rockets @FCB

I decided to test out majorjuggler's ship cost analysis showing that green squadron a-wings with refits are a good bargain.

So, last weekend I flew 4 green squadron pilots, all with refit, test-pilot, push the limit, outmaneuver, and two with shield upgrades. I beat Chewie and Leebo with two greens left (those with shield upgrades). However, it was a close match.

I then played Chewie and Leebo again with refit, test pilot, push the limit, outmaneuver, and all four proxied with autothrusters. Solid victory with a-wings only missing a few shields. I was very impressed with how well autothrusters helped to counter turret weapons.

In sum, I still like interceptors more than a-wings, but I found these four ship lists to be surprisingly good in these two matches.

I play a six a wing list from time to time that is much feared. Four protos and two greens with PTL. It's a lot of fun.

Also Tycho, PTL, Expert Handling, and EI is a lot of fun.
