Control Of Objectives

By gasha1, in Tide of Iron

I was wondering if someone could clarify when control of objectives can be acquired. Specifically, is passing through a command hex during the action phase sufficient to gain control, or must a unit physically occupy it during the command phase to acquire it for the first time (and get the control marker placed).

I have been playing it that the first time you want to gain control of a command token you need to occupy it during a command phase, but the rules are not totally cleasr on this so i was hoping someone might be able to give an answer.

Hi,

i would say, since you check in comandpase who is controlling objectives, you should occupie that Hex during the comand phase. Later during the next moving, you may leave your marker on that hex and move your squad out (hoping the enemy will not take it over:) ).

p.14. The Command Phase: "if he is now capturing the hex by having at least one friendly unit it it."
