Need a fix in Winnipeg

Hear my tale of SW RPG woe: now that my son is off pursuing his career, I don't get to play much. My friends, which I refer to as "Team 50" will play, but between young kids, night shifts, on-call shifts, and other obligations, the games are few and far between, especially since I have to share whatever available time there is with several other games. Everybody wants to host their own thing, and they're all different: some want to host Lord of the Rings miniature games, or WW2 miniature games, another has a several-years-running fantasy RPG campaign, another wants to do a western RPG theme, etc.

I don't suppose there is anyone on these boards in Winnipeg, Canada who is looking to play EotE? I could GM or be a player.

I'd also consider an online game, but I'm not sure what would be required.

I had good luck with Meetup.com. There's not as much emphasis on roleplay as I normally like, but we still have a lot of fun.

Why don't you try Play by Post (PbP). Looks like someone has an interesting game they want to run and is looking for players.

It does look interesting, but not really my cup o' tea. Too much writing :)

What's so bad about the writing level? Or are you more of a talker?

( P.S. It's a gag. I like to pretend I'm a loyal Imperial, but in the end, I know them to be murderous monsters. I'm even thinking of making a story to portray this.)

All-in-all, I never got the full message, so it was more to reinstate the idea to us who have had less experience in the long run and those who sadly enough never saw all the movies, which includes one of my players.

(Funny story about that player: we'd started playing with him only knowing the prequels, and he still pushed through like nothing strange was afoot. I've since made sure to explain the jist of it and to show what species look like, but he really took it like a pro.)
