Clone Wars Coming to Netflix

By LordCole, in X-Wing

Never seen any of it so I'm starting with the movie.

Dude, wtf! S6 E8!

mmm...just in time for saturday morning cartoons!

Don't start with the movie... it's rubbish. Start with Cartoon Network clone wars, then this...and wishful thoughts of clone era ships...

Started watching today, up to the first appearance of my favorite Jedi, Kit Fisto. Best. Jedi. Ever.
And he's got a Jamaican accent! Perfect for his big ol' tentacles. Sadly, I do like his apprentice and already read about his fate on Grievous' entry...
If anyone's looking for an interesting read, check Wookiepedia's info on Grievous. Really good story there.

Just finished season 6, great season. The last three episodes were among the best in the seris!

Never seen any of it so I'm starting with the movie.

The movie isn't that great, just bare with it till season 3 and it becomes greatness. Season 4 was my fav & and then the last 3 eps of season 6.

.Just started the TV series this morning and watched the first 5 episodes of season 1.

Never seen any of it so I'm starting with the movie.

I thought the movie was okay. 4 EPS into the series and I am enjoying it a lot. The ion cannon thing was a bit funny though. Ships disabled by it didnt drift with the same momentum and trajectory, instead they all nose dived. In space. Funny stuff.

It's among the best looking stuff I have ever seen on blue ray.Simply stunning!

1st 8 down and my wife is hooked too! Saturday mornings are awesome again!

Wow, the final story arc with Yoda Is so good, it is by far my favourite arc they have every done. I can't stop watching it. I definitely wouldn't mind getting a miniature of Yoda's little fighter. :-p

I'm so happy Clone Wars got to end so strongly :-) ... Even though I didn't get to see Darth Maul's final story arc :-(

I sure hope Rebels will be as good.

up to episode 15... ****... only 106 left...

Still only 4 eps into the series but I wanted to say I really enjoyed the ep with all the Y-Wings. :)

The episode "Landing at Point Rain" was legendary. The battle scenes rivaled any cinematic counterpart. The "Darkness on Umbara" story arc from Season 4 was amazing, too.

The series can definitely be cartoony at times, but the action scenes more than make up for it, as far as I'm concerned.

darkness on Umbara story arc was beyond amazing, i've watched them numerous times and for anyone that is a fan of the clone troopers it's a must watch as it's all based around their point of view and is definitely the best set of stories in the entire series!

i also really liked the story arc about Zygerian (sp?) slavery

both season 4 and 5 were amazing.. season 6 was good, but not as good as they left out a few loose ends that they didn't tie up from season 5 with a certain "sith" (without giving away any spoilers)

you kind of have to watch the movie to at least know how Ahsoka becomes Anakin's padiwan and why she has the nick name "snips"

It seems racist to me. I don't know why.

*EDIT* Misunderstood. Thought you meant you don't know why she is called snips. Carry on.

I'm completely ok with it.

I gotta say, I was kinda disappointed in season 6.

I mean, the order 66 arc started out with quite the potential, but it just dragged on too long I felt, and at the end, everyone was like "yup, oh well, lets forget this ever happened."

And then right afterwards, they find out that Count Dooku made the order for the clones, and they didn't ever think to go "huh, wait a second... there's a chip in here that caused a clone to kill jedi, and the sith ordered the creation of these clones... herm... I think this requires more investigation."

And the banking arc was interesting, nothing wrong with it, just one more way that Palpatine manipulated everyone into giving him more power. And Anakin turned nice and dark, and Padme started to question her decision to marry him. Not a bad story arc.

The Yoda one was interesting. I especially liked the first episode where they thought he was going crazy. But with that in mind, he just kinda returns and everyone's like "okay, back to normal"

In general, I don't think that they were below par, but I loved the ending of season 5. And I really think the series should have ended there. That said, these episodes would be nice to be included throughout the show, but not as an add on to season 5. I feel let down from them since it didn't tie everything together as well as I was thinking it would, and it didn't set up ep3 at all, which was the other part I felt was lacking from S5 ending.

Didn't read spoiler since I'm still in the early part of season one. So you were disappointed by the new episodes showing more of the same and not tying things together? Kind of sounds like EP 3.

How could you not love the last 3 episodes of season 6?

I liked them alright, but it just seemed sorta out of place as the conclusion to the series.

i didn't.

it was nice to get some sense of it, but it didn't need to be explained.. but then again i'm more of a clone trooper fan over the jedi, sith and force powers
