Clone Wars Coming to Netflix

I liked them alright, but it just seemed sorta out of place as the conclusion to the series.

Well, it was never supposed to be the conclusion of the series. Season 6 was planned out as a typical ~20+ episode season. And a season 7 was expected after that. Filoni's (producer) stated intent was to take the Clone Wars right up to the moment before Episode III started. It's just that the Disney acquisition of LucasFilm happened when they only had Season 6 half complete, and they put the kibosh on all existing projects. We *almost* didn't even get these episodes, but Netflix's apparent interest was sufficient to get final production work done on these - to get them polished up enough for release, and...that's that.

Just a question for those who have seen it....

Some of the episodes on Netflix seems WAY out of order. IE the season 3 stuff with Zero teh Hutt - one episode he's broken out of prison... then few episodes later, he's still in prison and gets a longer sentence. And now 2 episodes later, he's out, and it seems he's BEEN out for awhile! Stuff is like all mixed up.

Plus a TON or the pre-episode previews start out with some commentary that has absolutely nothing about the storyline. Seriously i think almost every episode is out of order.

I think that's just how the show works. I'm only part way though season 1 myself. But I watching a episode about about how Obi Wan had to help Annakin escape, the stuff at the start seemed to cover nearly 2-3 shows worth of stuff. Yet I didn't miss any episodes that I know of.

I think they treated it as all this stuff was happening in real time, so any episode that didn't include Annakin, they mention what he was doing while you were watching some other Jedi chop up battle droids.

I DID think that for awhile, but in season 3 it straight up contradicts itself. Things happen totally backwards at times.

I'm practically expecting someone to die, and 2 episodes later they are alive and fighting. Next episode will be their funeral. Next episode they get married. the following episode is their birth.

Dunno. I was watching Highlander the TV show on netflix and season 2 seemed like it was out of order, compared to a list I found, but it was actually in the correct order.

Perhaps look up the episode guide and see if it matches up with what netflix has?

That hasn't happened by season 3? Huh.

Yeah, they are massively out of order at times. One of the season 3 episodes is pretty much a direct prequel to the first episode of the series.

I am just glad the show is over. No more of the stupidity that was Dave Filoni and his botching of canon. I don't know how they let him start another show (one that looks at the very least the same, if not worse).

I gotta say, I was kinda disappointed in season 6.

I mean, the order 66 arc started out with quite the potential, but it just dragged on too long I felt, and at the end, everyone was like "yup, oh well, lets forget this ever happened."

And then right afterwards, they find out that Count Dooku made the order for the clones, and they didn't ever think to go "huh, wait a second... there's a chip in here that caused a clone to kill jedi, and the sith ordered the creation of these clones... herm... I think this requires more investigation."

And the banking arc was interesting, nothing wrong with it, just one more way that Palpatine manipulated everyone into giving him more power. And Anakin turned nice and dark, and Padme started to question her decision to marry him. Not a bad story arc.

The Yoda one was interesting. I especially liked the first episode where they thought he was going crazy. But with that in mind, he just kinda returns and everyone's like "okay, back to normal"

In general, I don't think that they were below par, but I loved the ending of season 5. And I really think the series should have ended there. That said, these episodes would be nice to be included throughout the show, but not as an add on to season 5. I feel let down from them since it didn't tie everything together as well as I was thinking it would, and it didn't set up ep3 at all, which was the other part I felt was lacking from S5 ending.

I completely agree. It was good, but there's so many plotholes.
