Orange County, CA - Weekly X-Wing Gaming

By theatrix, in X-Wing Organized Play

Just a quick FYI - a group of us normally play at Brookhurst Hobbies on most Sunday's from 4:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Brookhurst Hobbies

12188 Brookhurst Street
Garden Grove, CA 92840
Phone: (714) 636-3580

We post the upcoming X-Wing events on the Brookhurst Hobbies meetup at:

http://www.meetup.com/Brookhurst-Gamers/

When you arrive, we normally are gaming in the front area of the stores (just to the left as you enter). If you see folks playing a World War II miniatures game, that is probably us just finishing off our Flames of War games from earlier in the day. Just introduce yourself and let us know that you are here to chew bubble gum and kick fanny and that you are all our of bubble gum. :)

We also play at Hobby Day at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Anaheim on the SECOND SATURDAY of each month in the afternoon (around 2 or 3 p.m.). On the Sunday after Hobby Day, things can be a bit light (i.e. a lot of folks take that Sunday off to spend time with thier families).

Hobby Day Address:

1127 North Anaheim Blvd

Anaheim, CA 92801

When in doubt call the store and ask for one of us. You can also e-mail us at [email protected]. We hope to see you at the gaming table.

Is this the Store Championship or just a regular tournament?

Store Championships.

Aside from the sunday sessions at Brookhurst Hobbies in Garden Grove, is anyone in the Irvine/Spectrum area interested in getting games in? My apartment complex has many communal locations that could be utilized to get games in.

I'm also willing to drive out to other gaming locations to get more play time in.

If you want more game time i would suggest Dice House Games in Fullerton, i hear the first thursday of each month is dedicated to X-Wing! I Have not been able to make it to one yet but i'll try for april's! Hope to see you there!

Sounds awesome. I'll definitely try to make that and see what's up at Dice House Games

Dice House Games Store Championship is March 22nd. It's a small store so there might be a limit on entries.

Just wanted to give this thread a bump because we're going to be starting up league play at Brookhurst Hobbies, starting June 15th at 2pm. I'll post some more details and Meetup/Facebook links once I've got them. Come on down this Sunday to get in some practice rounds to prep for the upcoming Imdaar events!

Are total noobs allowed?

I picked up the core set and a couple extra ships last week and finally cracked open the game the other night.

Of course! I played in Brookhurst's store championship just two weeks after I bought the game myself. :)

I'm down for playing. The friend I regularly game with lives far away, and I'd like to make better use of my collection.
