Why would you want missiles on B-Wings when the HLC is so much better!

It's all about how you plan on playing them. If you are going to shoot once and range three and then try and spend the rest of you game in range 1 then missiles/Torps are better than HLC.

Furthermore - If Biggs just focused himself, Kyle could give him a second focus to use on a second defensive roll. And while I haven't done the math on that, the math on R2F2 vs. Focus comes back heavily favoring focus. Which would encourage me to think R2F2 + Focus vs. Focus x2 would still favor Fx2.

Focus vs R2-F2, heavily favors simply using focus.

However if you can action stack and get a free focus, then R2-F2 + free focus is generally better than 2 focus. Obviously there is an opportunity cost associated with forcing yourself to use a focus on defense rather than on offense, where you cold Focus + Target Lock.

I have found that building your list around biggs just does not work. Investing in a model that will be the first to die seems (in my games) wasteful. Points are better spent on getting more 'dakka dakka' or ships in that list.

I would only ever take a plain biggs or maybe, a shield if no other suitable targets have a shield. R2-F2 suffers from bumping and a stealth device on a 2 evade dice target...meh. Even combining when combining the mech with the stealth... that is 6 points I can use to beef other stuff.

Biggs dies... plain and simple, why invest?

Note that (IMO) a plain Biggs is THE best rebel ship character.

I tend to agree that I like Biggs plain, but not because he's going to die first. He's best used to spread damage around and that includes not allowing it all on him. It's good to not have him in range to take EVERY shot, even if it means his attack isn't as effective.

It may sound nuanced, but Biggs shouldn't just bodyguard one ship; he should help everyone, including himself survive.

To that end, I really like the additional defense and Draw Their Fire on Wedge in this list, but I'm not sure that a small list suits Biggs as well, especially with one of the ships being the HWK. I think you need more offense.

Something extremely similar happened to me awhile back and it still haunts me. Worst of all.... it was in my VERY FIRST GAME.

Was that a ship equipped with Stealth Device? (ducking)

I find the Milenium Falcon title is invaluable. Being able to automatically evade 1 shot makes that ship last so much longer.

On Biggs???!!!. You can only put that title on a YT-1300.

I'm pretty sure he doesn't mean putting it on Biggs. But hey that could be cool right? Perhaps Biggs wanted to name his X-Wing whatever he wanted...
