Reporting stores selling kits

By Khyros, in X-Wing

I know an Xwing player who goes to that store in CC. I will ask him what he knows of this.

I find it distasteful for this stuff to be sold as it is intended for prizes but also remember that this is not free stuff given to the stores to disperse, it is sold to the stores. Once they but it, it is theirs.

It is, but when you will find that there will be a contractual obligation as a reseller. For example, selling at RRP unless you are having a sale etc. I imagine that this was in breach of the contract and FFG gave them the option of removing the listing or receiving no further stock from them.

Thank you for posting this. I don't mind stores selling older stuff. Completely ok with that. When it comes to stuff you can't get yet and is suppose to be used in a tournament setting, that just isn't cool at all. Add in the bye you get from a Championship Certificate and that is just bad. Thank you once again.

I didn't buy from this store. I will not deny the fact that I buy a lot of my game night stuff on line. Reason being I run the game night at MLGS and I cannot win the stuff because of it.

I personally would not give any individual a hard time for buying the stuff. The fault here lies with the store selling the material without hold an event to award the prizes. Nor would I care if the person who had won the material sold it on eBay, it is theirs at that point.

Whole thing stinks ... But if someone purchases a bye because they can't win it ... Not going to matter much at regionals IMO.

Score #2 for FFG - the store is no longer listed as hosting any store champs.

I wonder if each ticket thing is numbered... If FFG just has to check out all the numbers on the tickets, they should be able find out which one was sold on EBay.

Regardless, it would be pretty funny to see whoever bought it (if anyone) try to explain how he got it.
