Also... TIEs can fly sideways!
That reminded of my days trying to fly helicopters in Battlefield 2. Well almost. There was a lot less cussing, crashing and dying when in this video.

Luminara survived!
In the new series? Is she still human or has she gone cyborg already? Because in the Legends timeline she doesn't go cyborg until post Yavin.

Are you thinking of Lumiya?
Can't believe I got those two mixed up my head must be pounding worse then I realized. Nice Luminara was one of the characters I felt was underused in TCW, Shaak Ti being another. Maybe the can salvage something from the train wreck Wrong Jedi storyline by having Luminara use some of the time between the series to figure out just what caused
Barris to flip
and explain it as a precautionary tale to the MCs since the part I most hate about the TCW arc in question is they never bother to explain exactly what caused the villain of the story to turn evil.
Edited by RogueCoronaI agree. I LOVED the last part of season 5 of TCW, but the main antagonist's drive was definitely the weakest part of that arc.

I doubt I would have loved the arc but it would have been at least in my ok range if they had given a decent explanation for the antagonist's turn.
The antagonist was one of my favorite characters from the Clone Wars Era Legends and TCW material so I would have been sad to see her fall but the way they showed it the fall was much, much worse because they make it seem like she just woke up one day and decided the Jedi were evil rather than showing us whatever event or events drove her to turn against them.

Almost as bad as this...I agree. I LOVED the last part of season 5 of TCW, but the main antagonist's drive was definitely the weakest part of that arc.
Worse. We knew why Anakin turned it was just a really badly written turn and lousy reason. when we last saw
Barris in TCW season 2
she showed no signs of believing that fighting the war made the Jedi evil. Than in 5 she's willing to
bomb the Jedi temple, and frame one of her Jedi friends for murder
because she feels the Jedi are evil but we are left with no clue why she fell.
Edited by RogueCoronaOf course rebels could explain that with a sweet
Inquisitor Bariss
arc.
Well, we do know that the last arc of season 5 was no originally planed as such and only done because those episodes were already finished. Shame that the show got canceled otherwise we could have seen more about it in season 6 and 7.
Oh well, here's hoping we hear something about it in Rebels.Hopefully it does not end like most Weisman-shows.
I recall Dave Filoni saying, "I know what all those stories are... and if I can find a way to work 'em in, I will!" ![]()
I know some of the stories are getting told in other mediums. Darth Maul has a comic and a new book as been anounced that will about Asajj Ventress.
Well depending on the rumors you believe Ventress has a shot at an appearance in Star Wars EP VII: The Monocle of Darth Sidious.

I thought it was Ep VII: The Hand of the Jedi.
The Foot of the Gungan?
Fart of the Rodian.
The Sock Drawer of Destiny
The lower colon of palpatine.
Of course rebels could explain that with a sweet
Inquisitor Bariss
arc.
That would be cool, and might fit as a good final story for Luminara since I seriously doubt Luminara will survive into the OT era.
They were promoting Rebels big time at Comicon.

I'd like that - we need a little closure there.
That said, did you guys hear that there'll only be 16 episodes of Rebels per season? And that it's all told in sequence? That tells me it'll all be very tightly plotted...
Well the shortened seasons is a new in thing in TV. Not only is it cheaper to produce shorter seasons, its also easier to write story arcs, and the real cost effectiveness issue; its easier to run new episodes only during ratings periods.
Nifty interview with Filoni re: Rebels. My favourite part is about half-way through when he talks about the clones, how they're a bunch of old men working the docs, some of them quite bitter, and their pension plan was lousy... ![]()

Wonder if any of the bitter old clones will show up in Rebels, perhaps angry enough to aid the MCs
