Star Wars: Rebels

By Jegergryte, in Star Wars: Age of Rebellion RPG

Any chance they might stat these characters?

Was wondering if Ezra would be Emergent and Kanan an Exile?

I doubt it unless FFG gets some kind of confirmation that they will be still alive in the EOE and AOR era And even if they do its still a maybe.

Sexy....

Also it's official, ISDs can enter atmo... interesting.

Was just about to say that. I'm not sure if the ship at the :15 sec was a ISD or not, but there was definitly one later on in atmo. I got a feeling, being a aircraft mechanic, II'm going to love Chopper. :D

Oh, and still calling it now: Ex-Jedi dude is gonna die. It was mentioned in one of the previews that the show will transition to start focusing on a central character on the team. I'm betting it's going to be Aladdin look alike. He'll try to avenge his fallen mentor, the Ex-Jedi, who'll probably fall to the Inquisitor Obi-Wan Kenobi style. Anyone want to take that bet? ;)

Yeah, the setup is too perfect.

With Freddie Prinze Jedi outta the way the remaining characters make too good of a family analog. Zeb=Dad, Hera=Mom, Sabine="Cool" older sister, and Chopper=Pet. With Alladin left to sit in the middle wearing a green sweater-vest and going on magical imagiholocronation adventures with PorkChopper and his best pal [Name not released] a hyper-active blue skinned twi-lek mechanic...

Wow, that last part started out as a joke, but I think I may have actually nailed it....

Also they could do like WotC did, releasing the stats as a promo on the website.

A Hutt will sit on, and suffocate, him. He'll die slowly, with his little legs kicking and flailing from beneath a tonne of slug.

That's my prediction for the Jedi death.

Intriguingly, the sitting-on will actually occur at the eight-minute mark. The remaining fourteen minutes of the episode will be the kicking legs you mention (gradually losing steam as the episode goes on), occasionally punctuated by the Hutt belching and shifting his weight slightly. Then... credits! :D

That will be the episode by guest director Quentin Tarantino.

That would be an utterly pathetic episode.

You hate every episode that doesn't have a space battle, RogueCorona. :P

That would be an utterly pathetic episode.

You will find that the Force & Destiny boards are going to be flooded with guys who think that would be an ideal introductory adventure for the kind of folks who would like to play Jedi...

I'll take that! Hutts have no legs, thus can't sit! I win!

J/K :P

Though I just had a funny thought of an airdropped Hutt that ended in similar results. Now I'm getting odd looks as to why I'm chuckling to myself seemingly at random.

I swore I wouldn't talk to you, Erik, but for myself, I don't think one thing or another about Jedi. I just like comedy. :D

What makes you think it's an ISD? Could be a VSD or other variant.

1:16 looks like an ISD to me. No wings, extended bridge pod, or bridge cannons. Its possible they redesigned the Victory to look more like an ISD, but I dont see why they'd go through the trouble...

No almost all episodes and arcs of The Clone Wars I hated were the ones that had virtually nothing to do with the war.

I loved a lot of the episodes that didn't have space battles. Ambush, the Domino squad arc, Onderon arc, and Geonosis arcs all had little or no space combat and I adore them. And the Ryloth, Christophsis, and Umbra arcs each had one space battle focused episode but I loved the arcs as a whole.

Its the episodes and arcs like Mortis, anything with Maul, the Mandalorian Kids arc, Padawan Lost (AKA Dealiest Game Star Wars) Lightsaber lost, the Gathering Arc, and the Wrong Jedi Arc that I hated.

The 4 part story with Darkness on Umbara, The General, Plan of Dissent, and Carnage of Krell in season 4 is seriously one of my favorite arcs in Clone Wars.

I am looking forward to Rebels, though; I just hope that it gives equal focus to all of the characters, and not just to the glowrod using Kenobi/Katarn wannabe.

It's the same team that did Clone Wars, so I would be surprised if the cast of characters doesn't expand greatly as the show progresses.

From the sounds of it, Ezra is going to be one of the more focal characters.

Though I do agree with the sentiment that all of the crew get their time to shine, particularly Sabine and Hera.

If anything I see the possibility of Sabine getting almost too much focus from time to time considering how much they've put into making her "cool." It will be kinda funny if they overdo it and she comes off as a poser instead...

I believe the term you're looking for is "Faux Action Girl" :P:D

I do hope that's not the case, and the show can deliver the goods on making all these characters interesting and entertaining. Then again, it's got Greg Weissman on board, and he's yet to disappoint where interesting characters go. Only disappointment with his shows is that they tend to get cancelled or screwed over, such as was the case with Young Justice and Spectacular Spider-Man.

I'm surprised no one has posted this latest video.

Ahaha, Chopper and Artoo meeting. Grumpy vs Sass warbles.

Also... TIEs can fly sideways!

It looks like it was running on repulsors at the time, so I can see how it would be able to maneuver sideways like that.

Luminara survived!

Does yours do that?

Lightsabers need hardpoints now...

Not necessarily.

Tinkerer adds a hard point, and since the Inquisitor is an NPC it's not like he needs to follow the same rules as the PCs on what his gear can do ;)
