Hilde vs Healer

By DvON, in UFS Rules Q & A

Hilde: E commit: Your attack gets plus X damage and plus X speed. X equals double the amount your attack's damage was reduced by during the enhance phase.

Healer. E commit: this attack is returned to its printed damage. (the rest is not in question here)

So when my friend and I first saw Hilde he came up with the idea that damage pump into healer would fuel Hilde ability by alot, but i said that it wouldn't going back to an old block ruling of Replenishment vs Samurai Shodown. since Replenishment said return it was not considered life gain, thus not being abled to get Samurai Shodown because it was not life gain it was reseting.

but then later he come and references this page http://www.fantasyflightgames.com/edge_foros_discusion.asp?efid=30&efcid=5&efidt=104679 saying that you couldn't Holding Ground the attack Raging Gnome if you did not meet the requirements. now this make a bit of a conflict because the old ruling says its not an increase but the new ruling say that return is an increase.

so my question is, do we have 1 cheep megabeatstick attack or do we have 2 very cheep win conditions.

Hilde will work with cards like Rejection and Healer.

Replenishment vs. Samurai Shodown was because SamSho was specifically looking for a +# lifegain to turn into a -#, which Replenishment never does.

Hilde says she's looking for damage reduction. If instead she was looking at the amount of damage penalties , then she'd be looking for strait -# values given to the attack.

Ok now I have this question to ask: if you reduce an attack to let's say -3 and the original attack was 3 and then healer then Hilde's E would the attack be 9 or 6 i,m thinking six but I might be wrong.

you reduce a 3 damage attack by 6 to get -3 damage, you healer back to 3, hilde's E sees 6 damage total reduction and says +12 damage and speed so printed+12 speed and 15 damage
