effect of multiple stress tokens

By eagletsi111, in X-Wing Rules Questions

So I just played a shuttle in a battle. The guy has the shuttle that takes other peoples stress tokens, At one time he had two stress tokens. What effect does this have?

I was under the impression he would have to do two greens to remove both, but does one green remove all stress tokens? Is there no issue with having multiple stress tokens?

Thanks,

Ok, so the impact of having stress tokens does not change due to the number. You cannot perform actions and choosing red maneuvers is terribad. So there's no extra penalty there for having multiple stress tokens.

A green maneuver only removes one stress token. What this means is that, normally, you could do something to gain a stress token one round, then clear it with a green manuever and still get your action. If you have two, however, that green maneuver clears one stress, but you still have a stress token so you don't get to take an action. So it's bad to have multiple stress tokens as it denies more actions in future rounds, but there is no additional penalty beyond that.

Great! Thanks. Were in the middle of the game right now. That helps alot.

Also its best not to do a red manuvre with a stress token, as your opponent then gets to choose your manuvre.

Stress tokens will have an all new penalty once capital ships roam the board.
