Kabuki Artist with Splits

By Shinguyi, in UFS Rules Q & A

This might have been answered before but I didn't find any; the search engine is extremely bad when searching for questions...

Kabuki Artist reads:

E Commit: Reveal your momentum. Your opponent discards 1 momentum revealed this way. Add 1 card from your discard pile to your hand. The added card may not be the same card type as the discarded momentum.

If a Split is chosen, do you chose which side of the spilt card you cannot pick up, or does the whole split card count as a card type?

Example 1: Discarded a Soichi Jinmu from my momentum. I reference the Foundation side of the Soichi Jinmu when picking up the card. I pick up an Action card from my discard pile.

Example 2: Discarded a Soichi Jinmu from my momentum. I pick up a Foundation card because Soichi Jinmu is a Foundation/Action card in one card, not just a simple Foundation .

the momentum that is discarded is referenced after it hits the graveyard so you get double resrictions on what card you can pick up

Stamp for Ziepnir. While out of play, split cards are both types.

But when refering to a Split Card that is in your discard pile, don't you chose which side are you refering to?

Depends on what you mean by "referring to it". If you're looking for the difficulty of a card you pick one of the difficulty values.

But like for example the G:F Enhance on The Gorgeous Team - you may not pick up a High Tide with it because while out of play it is never a non-attack card.
